I need my time alone, but thought it was from being introverted. I find I need the time alone to reflect and make sense of things. But hey, maybe I'm smarter than I thought! :-)

If you're familiar with Meyers-Briggs, supposedly INTJs (ehich is what I am) need the most alone time. But I wouldn't necessarily equate that with smarts. It's possible to think a lot to little or no purpose.

Do not ask for my sources, but I am pretty sure there is a direct correlation between higher IQ and introversion. I am surprised the researches did not consider that variable.
