Todays point spread for the SuperBowl favors the Patriots by 6 1/2. Although they had a very strong performance yesterday, I find this a bit high considering the Eagles look good too...

Take the Patriots.

Indianapolis had the best offense in the league, and the MVP quaterback, and they were held to three points, and no touchdowns.

Pittsburgh was supposed to be a tough smash-mouth football team, and the Patriots made them look sick by running up 41 points against them. No one scored that much against them all year.

Look at the Philadelphis schedule. They played no tough teams all year, except Pttsburgh, and the Steelers manhandled them.

I don't know how this happened but the NFC is now clearly the minor league of pro football.

Of course on any given day, anything could happen. The supposed "experts" all picked the Colts and Steelers tobeat the Patriots, and the Pats beat both teams very handily. Right now you have to go with the skill of the Patriots, thier ability to play smash-mout football, and thier brilliant coaching. The Patriots have played their best football of the year in the toughest games. And they never mad any excuses for injuries. They just put in the next guy on the depth chart, and got it done. I bet that the spread increses before the actual Super Bowl. And I for one would be happy to take easy money from my Philly friends.

Agreed 100% but the line is now 7.

I can't make any guesses in terms of spreads, but I do think the Pats will win. This is because I watched both games last weekend. I was glad that Philly one, but I don't think the Falcons are as tough a team as Pittsburgh. And NE walked all over Pittsburgh. If this is true, then the Eagles are going to have thier hands full on Feb. 6, either with or without OT.

PATS All the way baby! Do what you wish with your money, I don't care if they win by one point or 40 they are just going to win!

They really have a great team atmosphere and rythm going right now. It is hard to imagine that this will errode against the Eagles, who are at best a good team. But you really never know what will happen, so I really try not to get toooo cocky! Not until after they win then everyone hates me cause I am really cocky then!

Pats for sure...'though I think the spread will be more like 3. The Sox did it and so will the Pats!

Well, I guess this former Philadelphian has to stand up for the Eagles, although I worry that they put so much energy into finally winning the NFC championship game after three near misses, that they may already be spent psychologically. I can only hope that the same thing will happen to Boston that happened to Philadelphia in 1981: the excitement of having the Phillies win their first World Series in October 1980 left less fan enthusiasm for the Eagles when they immediately followed up by making their only Super Bowl appearance a couple of months later. Go Iggles!

Vincent-Since you seem to like Phila it would be great if you became a Eagles fan.

I'm not sure about the spread between the Eagle and Pats-but I sure love to see those big guys spead

I don't think that you will see another Janet incedent this year-It would only be fair that someone pull Justin's pants to the ground.

Ahh no big thing
