Backpage ad as revenge?

A friend of mine told me a funny story about this ad:

It's somebody's revenge on the man in the pictures. He's a pick-up artist and, evidently, a creep:

Apparently one of the women he sent his pictures to found a better use for them. But she made up the phone number. The number in the ad belongs to a random guy in the Valley. He's getting a lot of unwanted calls and will need to change his number.

I agree, @maninsoma . A poor choice of words on my part. It's not amusing and it's certainly irresponsible.

 

I just noticed that in the google cache version the phone number is different. It used to match the number in the tweet. It doesn't add up. Whatever is going on here, it's not the typical bait-and-switch.
