I agree: it's best to enquire, very politely, of the man himself.

 

When very interested in a specific guy, I don't understand why posters ask generally about him. The man may or may not have escorted previously; he may have done so out of desire or economic necessity; he may be looking for a sponsor/sugar-daddy or simple financial support on a one-off basis. The only way for a poster to discover whether the man is willing to meet up is to ask the man himself.
