More questions about traveling...

I'm sure it'll all come to everyone is different, but in general. Talking about those of us who plan/pay for trips ourselves, not necessarily clients flies a guy in scenarios.

 

How far out is reasonable to schedule their travel plans? I prefer to schedule right around the 1-2 week time frame or even a month first, and then again 1-2 weeks before. Is anything beyond that too far?

 

Is it custom to advertise someplace with plans to go there say in the next week or 2, but without an exact date and location?

 

I tend to put ads up in places where I know I'm going soon....and then work out the dates once I'm comfortable with my schedule. However, many people tend to read ads or see your name and pic in their city and assume you're In town at that same time...even when the ad is placed the same day or the city is just listed as a travel city. Sometimes one doesn't always reach the same people who reached out to them when planning, because they may have been available at one time, but not the other.

 

I'm def not new to traveling, but perhaps with the way many apps are "realtime" now, people seem to assume a person's ad in a city means they're there at that time.

When I would travel I would start planning a couple months in advance. I would start watching air fare (I hate and will not drive), hotel and any outside of being a hooker events I may want to do. As far as announcing my travel plans I think I would post a couple weeks before I leave and bump it up on the forum a couple days before I was set to leave. I've seen people post travel plans on here MONTHS before they were getting to wherever. This to me is just stupid because shit happens. People get sick, people die, hookers change their mind and decide not to go etc.

Lol, well...I think it's easier to plan a couple months or longer in advance if you travel once in awhile. But within 2 months, I would have done 2 separate trips...more than rentmen and men4rent really gives us to place ads on.

 

It seems even a couple of months in advance seems far out because as I mentioned, I tend to get a lot of "are you here now" replies.

 

I've been planning to go to 2 cities that are along the way to somewhere else I'm going. My ad has been up for weeks, but I've had to change the dates a couple times. And now...my FedEx delivery isn't coming until Monday so have to move that back again.

A slight side note, but twice in my experience an escort advertised they were coming to town in a few weeks, giving dates. But when I inquired about availability, they each responded that they were testing the waters to see if there were enough interest to make the trip worthwhile. One ended up coming, one didn't, and sadly the one who didn't was somebody I'd long had my eye on.
