Guys married to women or guys married to other guys?

My case, married to a woman but the question is open ended , married to a guy is still married. :)

yes, no doubt married is married... but you're 100% more likely to fool around with other gay men if you're married to another men.

I still can't believe so many guys on Grindr who openly brag about being married and looking for fun only.

Don't know anything about Grndr. Not familiar with that site.

Grindr is a smartphone app that geo-locates other gay men seeking anything from hook-ups to meeting for drinks. It shows photos and profiles of people near to you based on your GPS position as determined by the smartphone.

And their ™ name is Grindr, omitting the 'e'

I've checked out Grindr and Scruff. I've found quite a few married guys on both. I'd say of the married guys, it's about half gay married and half straight in my area. Funnily enough, since I only chat on them, the guys who are willing to chat are mostly the gay married guys. Many of the straight married guys on those apps are just looking for a hook-up.

Warning to all Gay Men married to a Gay Man, he's fooling around outside your marriage! Monogamy is non-existent in Gay marriages! After all 100% is the maximum of the group. Thus saith Mrylndr'40.

Isn't posting a profile on Grindr the very definition of 'openly bragging' about everything you're posting about yourself?

just wondering how many married guys are on here ? And secondly , for the escorts , what percentage of your clients are married guys with families ?

Thanks for such an important thread. Occasionally even long-time posters do not realize how many people here are married to women. I remember some

very harsh comments in the past that would not have been made if threads like this were more common.

you're right, monogamy DOES exist in some gay marriages.

Monogamy can work for some people, regardless of sexual orientation, but it has to be consciously acknowledged and worked on just like any relationship. It doesn't just magically self-sustain. We had a long period of monogamy in our marriage. When we consciously chose to allow exploration, we still required emotional primacy. I doubt we'll ever go in a poly way or return to monogamy, but who knows? Relationships evolve and change over time. I'm committed for life. I chose every day to remain committed and I'll do what I have to do so that our marriage remains happy, healthy and strong.

I believe you've figured out how you can successfully honor your life-mate. Those are almost the very same words I use when reminding myself of the primacy of The One Relationship. Daily, sometimes hourly.

Why the "warning"? Besides I don't look at monogamy as some high virtue anyways. Being honest with your partner is the only high virtue. If you can't do that then you don't have a real relationship.

Thanks. Many years ago, we woke up at the same time and we were looking right at least other. She smiled and said, "I chose you." It's kind of been our phrase for most of our time together. It was even in our vows.

Me too but the fact that they say they're married doesn't mean that they are really married, some of them are single and say they're married as a way to promote themselves for NSA or hookups with other guys married or not. Maybe it's a matter of social status to say they're good enough for someone to have married them.

if guys sometimes lie about their age, HIV status and other, I'm sure they lie about this issue too for different reasons.

When gay men marry, do they have a lower expectation of sexual fidelity for themselves and their partner than straight men? Is infidelity as serious in a gay marriage as in a straight marriage?

Interesting question. The statistics show that straight men "cheat" more than straight women, but they "cheat" too. So, I'm curious about that question too.

Sure, that makes sense. Plenty of guys lie about all kinds of things online and in life.
