That said, there were multiple reports of Pittsburgh busts based on Internet ads in the past.

I would be interested in any verifiable details as well. Pittsburgh is a very small city (~300K), and the escort "scene" is quite minimal. It strikes me as odd that the police would expend any time or resources by targeting a very low base-rate phenomenon.

Yes, this is from over a month ago, but it shows they do indeed do such stings. I've found multiple reports of stings on prostitutes and/or clients in Pittsburgh over the past few years. Someone there is trying to make an impact.

Lucy gave a decent performance--played the character, not herself. The film as a whole left something to be desired. Forgot Robert Preston was in it. He was great in SOB, a much underrated Blake Edwards film all about LA and Julie Andrews' boobs.

I liked the Lucy version. I think if it was slightly updated it would have been better. Also, now I wish that Lucy's singing would be auto-tuned. That was the biggest criticism of the movie.

I did just a quick perusal of a few of those, and each (that I clicked on) involved women. Several of the metro Pittsburgh counties have indeed been setting up stings in recent years, but the crackdowns that I have read about have not involved male escorts. Not saying it can't happen or hasn't happened, but given the very low number of male escorts in Pittsburgh's RM, M4R and BP listings, and what I knew of the city over the course of many years, it just seems like an unlikely (or at least fiscally foolish) use of limited LE resources to target the guys. Granted, in some of the small surrounding towns there might be conservative judges or sheriffs running for re-election, and rounding up a few guys might net a few more precious votes. Just my thoughts.

The OP needs to give us some details including the escort's name. Assuming there was an arrest, all this would be a matter of public record, and no one's privacy is being violated. Otherwise all we've essentially been told is to stay out of, or lay low when in, Pittsburgh.

I don't think the OP would/should release the name of the escort involved because of privacy... in fact maybe the OP is the escort involved, but more details like the location would be useful? Usually this kind of sting operations happen in motels in the highway, I guess downtown cops have real crimes to go after.

I am not necessarily encouraging an outing of the escort's name, but if there is a public record of the arrest, the notion of "privacy" kind of flies out the window. As I have already posted, this would be a highly unusual occurrence in Pittsburgh. The "warning" from the OP (his words) needs to be backed up.

Taking a wild-ass guess here, but my sense is we would not be quite as eager to see the arrestee's name had they been a client.
