Yesterday morning, the Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory [the chief executive of our government] posted, 'Today Australians can reflect on good decisions, taken by both sides of politics, to protect us from assault rifles.' This is not to judge other jurisdictions, rather to consider our good fortune to have few gun related deaths.
