That is one of my favorite photos of BN. IMO, he made an excellent choice in choosing it as his current avatar here on the mc.

 

The photos of BN that I like the most are the B&W ones, as imo, color film just can't capture the nuances of shade and lighting that turn a photo of a person into an erotic work of art. As such, imo, BN's b&w photos are some of the most erotic, beautifully artistic photos that I've ever seen.

I agree completely about B&W photography, which is sadly a dieing art. The few "artistic" (go ahead and snicker) prints that hang in my bedroom are B&W figure photographs (and one charcoal drawing).

 

At one autograph signing, a pornstar offered me a choice between a beautiful color shot and an utterly DEVASTATING (and less explicit) B&W shot. I think he was surprised when I picked the B&W. Everyone else was going for the color shot because it showed all the bits.

 

Shadow can be incredibly seductive, and color tends to obscure it.

Could'nt agree more - that is one fantastic photograph! I know Benji is very particular about the photos he posts and as in all things his attention to detail comes through with "flying colors."

 

I believe the posted photo was taken in San Francisco, just west of the Golden Gate Bridge. From that trip he also has a set of incredibly

good (sensual) photos taken in the Napa Valley area.

Westcoaster is correct--it's taken on the south side of the GGB--in the City and on the ridge just above the gay/nude beach, east of the parking lot and as he says, west of the GGB. The other (Marin) side is the GG National Recreation Area.

 

The image actually is a color, very high resolution digital Tiff, which BN has desaturated for the BW effect, as were the Napa Valley Images. Obviously a great model makes great pics

I always say it's the photographer who makes the image a great one and the particular fella i worked with on those GGB sets was FANTASTIC

 

... and with that, let me say thanks to everyone for the compliments on the B&W choices i've made in the past. While color is fine, i find it's sometimes too saturated and makes an image look glossy and somewhat plastic (ie, tacky).

 

Lucky & Hawk are 100% on-tap in saying that the art of black & white photography is a dying one. Yes, it may be easier to hide flaws in skin tone and texture with the format, but it's also incredibly sexy and adds lighting nuances through shadow tough to find in color work.

 

Added, i'm also somewhat paranoid that my Irish heritage can make my skin look somewhat ruddy at times. This would be the moment in this post to shamelessly plug the UV-free MysticTan system. It's one thing that both Jessica Simpson and myself can agree on...

While i appreciate the 'gushing,' i think this thread also brings up a more important point: Escorts need quality image sets that show themselves in the very best light possible... Prefferbly without the blatant misuse of Photoshop.

 

If they can work something out with either an established photographer or a beginner, it's VERY beneficial for an escort to have professional pics to show prospective guys. Added, it wouldn't hurt to get a new set of pics every 6 mo's to show any changes in build, face or hairstyle.

 

An good image of yourself is not only a reflection of you, but also a reflection of your professionalism and commitment to being the very best you can be. A bit schmaltzy perhaps, but it's true.
