Not reviewing the hidden gems and disasters

Massage reviews are not as common as escort ones. I asked one person on here why, and they said they didn't want to reveal who they really liked, to avoid people overusing their person.

 

I think that also the disasters go unreviewed because of the lower cost of buy in. I thought it would be interesting to share ones that stick out for me.

I am starting to wonder what Sensual even means.

 

From my experience getting massages here in LA, it's either some basic touching then an ending. To alot of touching and an ending that's alot more on the escort side. There's never sensual on going body contact during the massage.

I've had a couple experiences where I was left wanting a bit more and a few others that I'd never go back to again, but wouldn't call them complete "disasters". That said, I still think it's good to throw out a disclaimer so people know exactly what they could be stepping to.

 

But maybe experiences do vary based on the clients, as pointed out here and in other threads.

 

Anyway, thanks for getting this topic started, @nyblkguy. Will be interesting to see if anyone shares their disaster experiences.

I don't think that you will get (m)any responses, given that reviews are not allowed in the message center:

There was an ad on Craigslist (yeah, I know) for massage and I replied. After some back and forth, I figured that he was a rub&tug guy...but I liked his look and the rate was cheap. I set up a session.

 

His place was a wreck. Trashy and dirty. The pics that he sent were about 15 years ago...same guy...just not recent..and not that body. He looks more like a 40something cute nerdy guy. Still cool...because I find that look sometimes sexy. So he takes me to his bedroom. He apologizes for the mess. He says it's a rent controlled apartment and the landlord wants him out...so he is not repairing anything. This guy's bedroom was stacked almost floor to ceiling with comic books and old porn VHS tapes (Falcon Studio, ...).

 

He throws a sheet over the comforter on the bed and tells me to lay down. Prior to the session, he said that he was trained. Well that was also a lie. No skills at all. He did get naked though and had a nice fat dick. On the flip I played with it some and his ass some. He did not seem to encourage me or pull away. Then he just jumps up and tell me that he will get the shower ready for me. So I say..."what? No release?"He says..."Oh...that's $60 extra". I said "really now?". He flashes me a wad of cash and says "yeah. I just made $200 so I was giving you a deal". I said Not from me and jumped in the shower. I got dressed, and paid him $80 and headed towards the door. I had left my shoes by the front door since it was rainy and muddy outside. As I sat on the steps putting on my shoes, he said that he hoped i had a good time. I told him frankly no. That he completely scammed me. He said "How so? We never discussed release". I told him that we had discussed many things of what I wanted in a session including a release. He never mentioned an additional cost. I said...well it is, what it is. You know you scammed me. You live and you learn. He said that the upcharge that he quoted me was the going rate. Check Craigslist and I would see. I told him that this was not my first rodeo and I know what's out there. I told him that one day he is going to scam the wrong guy and he will be sorry for it. I left.

 

He stopped running his ads after that.

He replied that "you obviously have a relationship with him," as my friend asked for a massage repeatedly via e-mail, and never even received a reply. I frequently receive "extras" from this masseur, and my friend asked for the same "extras" in his e-mails, and my masseur clearly was not interested. But he does that for me.

I can speak of one disaster that's still advertising. He's on all the major massage sites and Craigslist regularly. Claims to be 25-27... well, I saw him 12 years ago, and it might have been a stretch to say he was 25-27 then! I can't believe people are still getting fooled by him.

So true...why the "your mileage may vary" statement applies to this game as well as your auto! So many things in the chemistry mix for both sides of the massage, I've had experiences as a client that don't seem to get reviewed, commented on, or offered to others.

I don't think this experience is unusual. I think that a lot of masseurs will offer extras in person, but not discuss them beforehand. And, as your friend experienced, simply asking about these services can end all communication. Hiring masseurs is usually somewhat of a crap shoot.

The couple of times I’ve recommended a masseur or escort via PM haven’t been as successful to the client as I’d hoped. (Apologies to GG). So I’m hesitant to recommend.

 

I tried several masseurs during my massage search. I did more than one session with some. A couple were to their “studio” which consisted of nothing more than a futon on a dirty carpet. Other guys were glazed eyed. Some were actually escorts advertising as masseurs and had no massage training whatsoever. It took quite awhile but I eventually found my “go to” therapist. Started out as a visit to his studio but now they’re done at my location. We have a comfortable and trusting rapport that has been developed over a lengthly period of time. I’d say a legitimate friend type of relationship exists between us. We occasionally do non-business things together off the clock (restaurants, shows, etc).

 

I’ve recommended him in the past but he doesn’t use his actual photo in his ads. We’ve discussed this and I understand his reasoning. I’m ok with that. He’s also very cautious regarding new clients.

 

He’s my massage therapist. In our sessions my primary interest is a real massage for actual aches and pains from long days of travel. And he has been very accommodating of my schedule. I like his technique. I like the fact that his routine stays “predictable” which allows me to truly relax and just enjoy the massage - sometimes to the point of nearly falling asleep.

 

If you’re looking for “more” than massage he may not be your best choice. However, if you’re looking to develop a “go to” masseur to relieve your aches and pains from a long travel day to Vegas PM me and I’ll share more info. Just expect a massage session - not an escort session.

That's unfortunate to hear on Ricky @nyblkguy. I booked with him regularly when he was in Orange County and I am guessing his set up was better and his dogs (Whero & Rolex) were under better handle then. I'm guessing the move to Hollywood wasn't as good as he had hoped. :-\ Unfortunate to hear cause he was stellar.

 

Agreed with @not2rowdy. I'm getting slightly hesitant to recommend masseurs as my experiences that are positive don't seem to be the same as those that have had sessions with my guys. I do have to say that I build a strong rapport with my masseurs early on and that either seems to work or it doesn't. :-\ Oh well...

 

Appreciate everyone's pros and cons on experience. This is proving to be an interesting thread.

My experience was great! One of my best this year and he gave me all that I wanted. Now when I said I will write a good review he said hold it "don't say too much." He didnt want potential clients to expect any particular thing except the massage, nothing more. He wanted me to write a PG rated review even though the massage was rated NC-17. Which now that I think about it makes good sense. If you ask for one type of massage and get something a bit different, something unexpected in a good way of course, that masseur will always have plenty of outstanding reviews because you gave the client more then what they expected.

Since I detailed a CL disaster earlier in this thread, I will also identify a hidden Gem. This is a Gem that I actually shared here last year in this post: http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/great-cl-find-in-dc-area.105055/. I have seen him several times over the past year.

 

He is back in the area for the Summer. He is able to do incalls in Manassas or outcalls in the DC Metro area. He has a summer job, so scheduling may be a bit tough at times...but he is worth it effort. He is beautiful, talented, a good soul, and a bargain.
