Well I am glad GOD is still giving his almighty opinions. I basically left the politics issues because he CAN'T be wrong! "I've cited facts and sources to support what I've said. You can't refute any of my statements". Hmmm, there are lots of papers, magazines and web sites that could give you a run for your money. Oh sorry, the almighty can't be wrong.

You have an opinion and if anyone disagrees well fuck 'em - see above. Not just fuck 'em, try to make them lower then dirt. What a farce. I wouldn't even allow you to change my cat's litter box.

RE: I'm shocked: I love Jerry Springer

Sadly, it is reported today that the Springer Opera is in financial jeopardy due to litigation with the London Daily News. The Broadway production scheduled for next year has only raised 4 of the 11 million it needs to go forward, perhaps becuse of the show's bawdiness and attaks on organized religion.

It would be a shame for this great show not to come to New York. Send your money now to help the show c/o Lucky, Times Square Station, NY 10036. (Cash Only!)

Methinks that Springer will make the leap...

The litigation in the UK is simply over the Daily Mirror pulling it's usual bullshit antics and saying that Springer was losing money & in fear of closing. A boldfaced lie, the show's producers claimed it hurt impending ticket sales and sued the Mirror for a pretty hefty sum.

Now the bad part: If the producers lose the case, the court costs will kill the production in London for good. Case closed. I truly hope they side with Springer, as they show is just too damn intelligent to close so soon. As for their US debut, i've got some friends who are planning on financing at least a few million into the show, so maybe it's not a totally lost cause afterall.

In other theatre news, i'm pretty stoked that Nathan Lane just opened preview performances of The Producers in the West End. Seems that Richard Dryfuss couldn't handle the singing, dancing or acting, so Brooks cut him loose under the guise of him 'stepping down from the show due to lower back problems.' Interesting.

I love Lane anyway. He's the best Max since Zero Mostel...

Warmest Always,

FYI, you got awfully close with the name of the newspaper in question, but not quite. The newspaper that printed the article was the Daily Mail. The Mail claimed that the production was losing $73,000 on a weekly basis. After taking a good look at the financial books, the newspaper apologised and acknowledged that the production was making a healthy profit. The producers of " Jerry Springer " are now suing for a reported $730,000. The case is due to come up in late December and backing out now would leave Avalon to fit the bill for all the legal costs on both sides. Jon Thorday claims that the marketing budget will have to be slashed cause of the potential cost of the lawsuit. On a side note, the person who broke the story was Jill Lawless of the Associated Press. So heres three cheers for Jill, or maybe not quite.

Last week I spent time visiting my hometown of London, England. To my good fortune, myself and a couple of old mates of mine went down to the Cambridge Theatre to watch the musical mid-week. I must agree with everyone so far that the show was fantastic. To my great suprise I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw David Soul in the lead role. One of my best friends told as we were leaving that the show already has won an Olivier Award, the British equivalent of the Tony for best musical. I was somewhat impressed when I was told of this. However when we were driving to my friends house, he told that because of the four letter words, have kept it's songs not just off radio, but also television as well. In a way it's sad because without radio airplay, it becomes that much more difficult because the audience is simply not there to be able to listen to this amazing material. With this in mind, everything then becomes a word of mouth. It's just not enough to fill the seats and pay the bills. Also take into consideration that Cambridge Theatre has a capacity seating of 1200. Unfortunately on most nights, the seats are barely filled. They really need to get some sort of vibe going.

Still it was well worth the price to see this production at the West End. It's always nice to see the home crowd try to keep West End Productions alive and well in Britain

If you left the politics section it is because I kept demonstrating that you have a record of posting lies in support of Bush. If you really have left for good and all, I am delighted that my modest efforts have removed a purveyor of right-wing trash from that forum.

Well, Hitler, if there are so many sources of information that contradict what I say, then why the fuck didn't you ever cite one -- even one? Instead, whenever I posted facts that destroyed one of your falsehoods, you simply ran away.

What I have are facts -- the one thing you and your fellow Swastinkers can't deal with.

What are you doing on the board today -- wouldn't the other skinheads let you play with them?

Gee, I didn't know I could have more than one name here. You must tell me how. You must have hundreds (beside God).

Since I have been here the ONLY source you have mentioned is Kerry's web site. So that is telling me all the truth? Oh sorry, God doesn't have to give sources.

Thanks for reminding me about that, Jimmer. I think it's time to drag that bitch out of the closet and back into the CD player (and btw, Derek will not be pleased so keep that in mind next time we see you). :p

In the political forum you have been answering posts addressed to Ready. Did you really think no one would notice that?

>>Modest efforts! Quote "you are brain dead. You have no right

>to your opinion, etc." And now you are telling someone how bad

>their taste in music is!

You are a liar. The "quote" you write above cannot be found in any post created by me. If you deny it, show me the post. Liar.

>Since I have been here the ONLY source you have mentioned is

>Kerry's web site. So that is telling me all the truth? Oh

>sorry, God doesn't have to give sources.

Liar. Kerry's site is merely a gateway to numerous other sources shown there. You have yet to cite a single source for anything you have said.

>>Posted facts? Even Time, Newsweek, The New York Times and the

>Washington Post all have contradictory articles (obviously you

>only read what you want). And woe forbid you might read the

>Wall Street Journal or anything Republican.

You are a liar. None of the first three sources you cite has contradicted what I have said about Kerry's programs. In fact, The Times published an article a few days ago that supported what I have said about his health reinsurance plan. The article also mentioned that Senator Frist supports the plan in principle.

>>I lost a Father and two Uncles fighting Hitler. So I take

>your opinions very personal) as if you would care.

Your father and uncles would turn over in their graves if they knew that you now support Nazi objectives.

> I only wanted it to be posted here so other people

The regulars here are already quite familiar with my opinions on political and other issues. Most of those who post in the political forum seem quite happy with what I have to say.

>Sorry, I am cut (you probably won't get that).

Nazi humor is not my specialty.

I just bought two Scissor Sister CD-Singles, Comfortably Numb and Laura.

They were both terrible.

I'll send either or both free of charge to the first person who asks for them.

RE:: I loved Jerry Springer Opera

I saw the show in its run at the National theater and was lucky to get a great seat in a full house. The cute guy at the ticket booth let me know that they had a senior discount and then left it to me to decide if I was a senior. I took one look at his hot bod and decided that I was, since I knew I would never see him again!

Never a fan of Jerry Springer or his show, I was totally enthralled with the intelligence and talent behind this masterpiece of a show. It would be a real tragedy if New York does not prove big league enough to handle the depth encompassed here. In the meantime, just think how much fun it would be for you to see Jesus and Satan duke it out in front of a raucous Springer crowd.

Millions of voices make the wrong choices everyday. I hope losing this show isn't one of them.
