LOL. Anytime I see an "ish" at the end of a word I assume it to mean "kind of". I guess it's like being kind of straight and kind of monogamous. That must mean I'm oldish. Actually I'm not oldish....I'm flat out very old and ancient.

Straightish and oldish are just as you said, 'kind of'. So is monogamish, but it differs from straight and old in that monogamy is a decision. Dan Savage claims to have invented the term for people who are basically monogamous but occassionally fall off that wagon or mutually decide to experiment outside their monogamy, or for people who are socially monogamous (i.e. appear so in social situations) but not always sexually exclusive.
