I always wondered why more escorts don't strip and gogo dance on the side. From a business standpoint it seems like a good idea to meet and make clients out of bar goers and club customers. Can a professional enlighten me?

Not an escort... but from those I talked to...

Some just can't dance. :p Some don't like the environment. And compared to some of the other stuff they get into (i.e. camming, escorting, porn) it's not necessarily easy money. Sure stripping/gogo dancing can introduce them to a certain clientele, but it's limited to those who visit strip clubs. It's an added avenue for sure, but I would think if any escort was serious about making money, it wouldn't be the only way they'd reach out.

Max G (who I have a recent review on), loves to dance, so he loves gogo dancing. He told me he isn't a fan of stripping as much because it's a totally different environment.

On a side note, some of the working guys I know who strip, don't mind stripping in a crowd, but don't like doing it one-on-one. They feel more self conscious about how they look doing one-on-ones.

I'm not sure that the people who frequent clubs with dancers and strippers are the same types who would hire - it's such a different deal altogether. Also, I had a friend who owned such a bar and the dancers often made very little money after working all night. On the plus side, it's a good way to stay in shape :)

A lot of strippers are straight IMHO. At Secrets in DC the all-nude dancers are some combination of handsome, built, nice ass, and well-hung with hardons. So it's pretty competitive. Since there are no lap dances there isn't much opportunity to talk "business" though it can happen. By DC law strippers must be paid and there aren't the charges that most such clubs charge. Many of them do make good money. There is a group of good looking (straight) guys who drive down from Philly on weekends to dance there for the $.

In FtL the clubs charge the dancers so it is super competitive for $. Sometimes you can get a dancer to come to your hotel. I've gotten that twice, though I don't think it was their standard procedure. The 1st one was gay and super sexy and active in bed. But he told me this was a onetime thing. The 2nd one was straight and just wanted to be worshipped and blown basically. They both cleared a lot of $$ dancing / lapdances even with all the charges.

An escort that I will see again used to dance in NYC - I'll ask why he stopped.

Bottomline I don't think many advertising escorts find it worth it to dance to gin up business. NYC's Max G being the exception!
