I don't need a 6 pack to be beach ready. My body is beautiful just the way it is, and I would hope more people would love themselves and the body they reside in rather than compare themselves to others.

I'm sure a lot of people do feel good about themselves, and have accepted what and who they are, but its others that make them feel bad about it, and often rejection is quite damaging to the psyche and spirit... You are in a business that promotes "fantasy" so you should understand that...

I understand what you're saying but first I find it disempowering to say that anyone can "make you feel bad", we choose our emotions and when we blame others for how we feel, we fail to take accountability for our own feelings. I do however recognize how difficult it can be to not compare ourselves to the nearly unattainable body types that are idolized.

Also, while I can understand that "fantasy" is what many guys are seeking, it isn't what I try to promote. Fantasy is a device of the imagination and involves something that is impossible or at least improbable. The experience that I "promote" is very real and palpable, therefore not a fantasy.

It's only REAL for those that can afford it... Others can only fantasize about it.. You are correct, It is disempowering when others are able to make you feel bad, but how can you tell that to a young person that's committed suicide because they were bullied and tormented beyond comprehension.? Someone is always responsible for EVERYTHING that happens in life. Sometimes its yourself, often its others. And very often finding inner strength is difficult when you've been so broken down.

There is a difference between being happy with your beach body (or at least accepting it as it is), and dashing off to the beach to flaunt it. I'm in the former camp, minimalist muscles, dazzlingly pale skin (melanoma neither required nor desired). But then I don't go to the beach with the purpose of being seen and noticed, nor would I go in a pride march in a jockstrap or speedos. My attempts at exercise are for the health benefits, any appearance benefits would be a side-effect!

I would never discount the work required to get a beautifully muscled and lean body or the discipline and sacrifice. So I am not hating on them if they love to show off, in fact I love a guy that's a little cocky, proud of his body and likes to show it off.... And of course I am a bit envious, because I have battled with my weight since I was a child... Life would have been so easy had I just been born in a different body. but when you are handed lemons, just make a big ole pitcher of Lemonade (minus the SUGAR)

Trip to the beach: several busses, a long walk, and all for.... uh.... lying down for 2 hours, then same trip in reverse??

Pass.

Many gay men go to the beach for Eye candy and the possibility of a hookup (plus a tan) .... some of my Best hookups have been beach ones...

I lost 25 pounds recently, so I've started hitting the gym a few times a week, to tone up the other 160.

Our Gay Pride parade here in San Diego is in two and a half months. I've always wanted to go shirtless, and this time, I think I'll finally be ready to do it. :)

I occasionally like a Dip (dick ?) and to feel the sand beneath my feet.

I'm doing the math aaaaaaand....... I'm not seeing (enough of) a "benefit" in it for me.

Maybe this is why I never do drag: ALL THAT WORK!
