It is nice to see that she is living up to the "She's So Unusual" moniker by going on with the show and working with her agent and promoter to donate their commissions to the Repeal HB2 effort as she si doing with the profits from the show.

 

I've been a big Cyndi Lauper fan since her debut back in the '80's. In addition to being very talented and putting on a hell of a show, she has been an ally to the LGBTQ community for a very long time. One of my favorite shows was when she opened for Tina Turner back in 1997. She was very pregnant with her son Declyn, wore a leopard-print bodysuit, and slowed down all of her songs. What a talented person.

I've been a huge fan of hers since her debut as well. I practically wore out my cassette of "She's So Unusual".

 

Wayne and I had the pleasure of seeing her perform at San Diego Pride years ago. She's an amazing live performer!
