You go right go ahead and hire a bargain escort best of luck

In all honesty, the "bargain" ones have been way better than the overhyped, ego-centric, high-priced ones who often act like it's YOUR privilege to be honored with their company.

That's certainly been my experience.

this whole damn thread is ridiculous

want to bargain? do it. don't bitch about the results here if it blows up on you. submit a review.

don't want to bargain? pay the rate and cheers to having a great time. if not, submit your review.

Some one way back at the beginning of this thread said to not get sucked into word games by a few of the posters.

Unfortunately this is totally true. There are some who are purely argumentative - the proof? In other threads their argument is 180 degrees different!

They bait their targets with inflammatory perversions of what's been stated only to be provocative.

This particular subject has been broached before, and it's normally a good one because there are different good sides to it and it triggers a good discussion.

Unfortunately this time certain egomaniacs had to ruin it with their phony hyperbole- that is totally opposite of what they argued in another thread. It's a shame such obnoxious people have to ruin this forum.

Whether haggling is offensive is a matter of convention. In the US the expectation is to haggle when buying a car or real estate. You can also negotiate with the IRS at times (it's called Offer in Compromise).

If you're in dire need you can ask for discounted medical or legal help. Or even free help if warranted- where obviously this is an altruistic favor.

If you're haggling where it's not expected though can be considered insulting.

I can certainly understand why an escort would not want to negotiate say a basic 1 hr session with a new client. It's not a dire situation.

BTW even when haggling is the convention an absurdly low offer is insulting. If you go into an art gallery and offer the artist $50 for art marked at $10k will probably get you thrown out. So it's more than just mechanical negotiating.

Exactly, but it doesn't even need to be that absurd. Asking $100 for a $200 is also rude. I have not advertised on adam4adam at all this year and since about November. I decided to place an ad back up, and it's just a big flea market, bargain thrift garage sale. Atleast in the area I'm using it in. I say my rate, and then the last 3-4 responses have been its too steep. When I ask how much they were considering, they say, $100. Where do people get this idea that $100 is an escort's rate. Where?

I'm just going to simply turn the question back around, even on my ad. Would THEY be able to pay rent, travel, pay for an ad, condoms, lube, cell phone bill, etc with $100 paycheck? No. Unless they so assume I'm seeing 5-10 clients a day at $100/each.

Even if that was the case, if they were me and I was them...would they only want $100? Clients always talk about, "I couldn't imagine meeting strangers and what if they are unattractive?". But yet, when I say I want$200, they hear $50,000, and want to act dumb. And I honestly don't see why they would argue $50 to $100 difference. They can afford it, they're just trying to dictate the situation. Exactly why I don't give hagglers the chance anymore.

Your selling time, not a tangible item that has a set price, and even then, negotiation is feasible, but you are correct that it must be something within reason. Only you can value your own time, but to others that value could be questionable. I don't believe anyone intends to insult you when they "negotiate", but as the saying goes "time is fleeting", and what you're left with at the end is merely a memory that might not be worth $300, so why not try to get it for less ? And remember, for every client that haggles, you probably have several that don't, so the net effect is in your favor.

Do you think clients are limited to Rentmen, A4A or M4RN in the sources they might use to find someone for hire?

If you're asking how much they are considering, you're haggling. And just because someone can afford a $50 or $100 difference doesn't mean they think the service (to them) is worth that much more.

No I'm not haggling. I ask them that AFTER i quote my rate. Because if they're going to say it's too much, i want to know what the fuck they have in mind. And if it's something derogatory, then I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.

As for whether they think the service is worth my quote, doesnt matter a goddamn damn. Besides, in my experience, there's a fair amount of a type of client who's fantasy is to get any escort he wants for $100. They always claim to only have $100 lying around. Like roaches, if you see 1, there's likely hundred(sssss$$$) in hiding.

Plus, how can they place value on a service they've never had to begin with? And then, when you say, "yeah, ill do it", theyre like "oh i dont want to insult or make you feel less". That tells me, they are aware the value and cost, but they want to be sneaky and try to low-ball.

I wonder if those same people would be happy to travel, work and pay for their own hotel and shit for $100 paycheck. Hell no. So it's kinda bullshit, and they assume, "oh you'll be able to meet lots of clients anyway." Yet, their cheap ass can't even pay me, the hell they can assume everybody else can?

I've yet to hire, but I would never think of haggling with an escort. It's all to reminiscent of what I go through as an IT Consultant. I'm not talking about negotiating a large contract, but rather the view of many individuals who find out I do IT, so of course they feel free to just have me "take a look" at their [insert troublesome tech] because I must live for the opportunity to fiddle with their equipment (see what I did there? :)). Compared to an attorney, where the perception is that just saying HI to them will cost you $400. It's a respect thing.

It looks like we keep trying to impose to everyone else our own preferences and our own little world. The sex market is as diverse as nature, and the more pretentious we are, the less chances to enjoy that diversity we have.

If you think that paying high rates guarantees quality, you are wrong. If you think that haggling, and/or negotiating, and/or looking for escorts in alternative, non mainstream places will give you a poor experience, you are wrong. There is always a risk, no matter how much you pay. Don't be a nazi of how things should be.

I have had great and bad expensive hirings, and great and bad bargains. One of my current regulars charges me 140, I am happy, he is happy, and we expend a great time together. I would review him, but he is not a professional escort and I did not meet him on line. At the same time, I have 300 ready for the next time Sean Xavier is at my reach.

You do not like haggling? Cool, don't do it, but don't be judge mental to those who do like it. You do not like paying more than 150? Cool, don't do it, etc.

Your business expenses are your own choices and have nothing to do with your clients. If you choose to visit a city and make yourself available, its not your clients obligation to foot your bill. That's a preposterous notion that the client needs to incur the cost of having you there. He didnt send for you. However, If he did request you to travel, that would be another story and your fees would be arranged upfront. and yes, he may negotiate with you, but so what ? If it doesnt suit you, you just say no and goodbye. You are not a prize or a gift. You are selling yourself, and as a commodity the buyer has a right to negotiate.

How would you know that they've never had the service before? Maybe they've hired before for $100 and been totally satisfied with the service provided. You can't guarantee (or can you?) that your service will be any better.

Mocha, I suspect you are long-time resident here, although you have changed your handle, I still believe your main problem is that you dont enjoy the business you have chosen and you dont like your clients. It comes thru in your posts. and if you dont enjoy what you are doing, whether someone pays you $100 or $300, you will still find fault. Thats seems to be how its been going for you. You never seem to have a positive experience, no matter what. Your posts are always one-sided and negative. And I dont think that's what clients want to sign up for ?

Time together: price is firm. Time for travel expenses, hotels, etc.: may be negotiable and can be up for discussion. In that case it isn't haggling.

Whatever. You worry about you liking what you do, and I'll worry about me liking what I do. You're not paying a goddamn thing for me, so how can you be so concerned with whether I like what I do or not? I'm also not fucking you so I don't have to answer you as to whether I'm into who I'm fucking either.

Clearly that horrendous wig you or whoever that is in your photo is messing up your head.

Why?

I'm not TALKING about whoever else they hired for $100, dummy. I'm talking about ME. My service. They haven't tried it if they are trying to consolidate me to a price before even meeting me. What they think this is, Priceline? Even for $100, you just get the room. Doesn't include the hooker in the price.

I don't have to present a thesis for anything relating to my money. I've had guys start off paying me a certain amount, but when I presented to them the fact that if they want to expect me to continue the arrangement...when my incall costs go up, I have to compensate for that. I can't just pull dollar bills out of my ass, unless someone slides one between it. That's not preposterous. That's reasonable.
