I just noticed in the Reviews that Kyle Vong is retired. Did I miss some mention of this on the Forum? He was a favorite of a friend of mine and always well-reviewed. I really liked a unique (very erotic) image he used in his advertising in which he was holding a container of milk over his head and pouring it down his body. Given the timing of his last review, it's hard not to wonder if the RB "event" prompted his retirement. Whatever the case, here's hoping he's doing well.

I'm feeling the same sort of disappointment and anger with myself that I endured when I missed Artur Rubinstein's last Carnegie Hall recital or that of Anna Russell. Drats!!

His retirement was very sudden ... at least, it was for me. About 2 weeks before a trip to NYC in January I had contacted him to confirm our scheduled date. I had seen Kyle at least 7 times a year over the prior 3 years, with 1 or 2 dates always projected out in the future. About 6 days before I was to fly to NYC, however, Kyle e-mailed me and informed me that he was retiring from escorting and that he was canceling our booking for the coming week. So ... over the course of 8 days, he went from confirming a standing date to canceling it (something he had NEVER done with me before).

 

No, it didn't have anything to do with the RentBoy take down. At least, I didn't gather as much from my email exchange with him. I gathered it was personal, but he wouldn't give any more details ... nor would I have shared them, here, had he done so.

 

I hope his life is enjoyable beyond escorting. It would be great if he came back into the business, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Kyle was always professional, and he had a full-time profession apart from escorting.
