Hola amig@s!

Hooked by the idea of using Twitter to follow porn stars and escorts I got from another thread, I just opened my first and hopefully last Twitter account. I don't even know how to share my account. The name I used is José Soplanuca, so I assume I should share something like #josesoplanuca. I don't even know if low/uppercase matters. I know, I will do my research but I would appreciate it if anyone here helps me and save me the time.

But the main goal of opening this thread is not that. I want to use the account only for sex. No politics, no arts, no pets, no science, I keep all that stuff at Facebook. Could you please Twitter veterans share with me things and people to follow in Twitter on everything related to sex?

Gracias!

Ok...well, google you favorite escort along with the word Twitter. If they have accounts, at the bottom of their homepages, they have persons who are similar to the person you are looking at. You can click on those suggestions to see their pages, and so on....

I can't help either, but curious: Soplanuca? As in blows neck? is that Spanish idiomatic expression? I heard it Chile and had to do something with being gay?

Obviamente!.i didn't know they used the expression in Chile. I spent my teen years in Corrientes, in the Argentinean northeste. In all that region, I assume also in Paraguay but I may be wrong, soplanuca refers to the top or to the guys who pretend not to be gay but like flicking other guys. A better translation would be something like "the one who breath in the back of your neck". I always love the image.

An important thing to remember about Twitter is, that unless you lock your account down with, " keep my tweets private" ( which is no fun ) anyone in the Twittersphere can see your tweets and who you follow. Sounds like you already intend to keep it very separate, but I made the mistake of mixing my two interests - porn stars and fitness gurus. I asked a fitness guy a question once and he promptly blocked me. I'm sure it's because he saw I was following 50 different porn stars! :)

Once you find a guy you are interested in following, look and see who he follows. It will lead you to all sorts of interesting people. Try not to follow too many people or your feed will get overwhelmed and become useless. Also use notifications judiciously. There is only one person that I care about enough to get notified when he tweets.

Happy to give you more tips if you want to PM. I doubt the whole forum is interesting.

Following on Twitter is not like friending on Facebook where friendships are two way links. It's a one way street, you watch what they post. They may follow you back (in general escorts haven't done that to me) but if you are using it to look at what others tweet and don't post anything much yourself the odds are they won't follow you for long.

Do/did follow some porn stars/escorts on twitter, but I found it a little addicting, and quite honestly, I need to limit my time on the key board. I still peek in every now and again, but that's it.

Is there a way to send a private message? If you can't, that would be a huge flaw, imho.

Yes - it's called a direct message, or DM, and there's no character limit, but it requires a mutual follow. Both of you must be following the other's feed, although you could both be on mute, or only view tweets, not retweets.

You can always reply or @ someone with a public Twitter account, but that is visible to others.

'Messages' at the top of the page, but I think you have to follow each other for that. If you send someone a public tweet and have their handle at the start of the tweet it can only be seen by his and your followers. (Details are somewhere in the profile and preferences pages: click on your photo at the top right.)

That's only partly correct. Those are the people whose feeds will automatically have it. But if you are responding to a tweet, or if there is a response to an @ tweet of yours, that will be linked and findable by looking at that person's account. An @ tweet with no response may only be findable by accident or if someone knows your Twitter handle.

I may occasionally trawl the Twitter accounts of the people I follow whose Twitter presence delights me the most. *ahem* But at least in the case of the person who best fits that description, I've met her in person so she knows I'm not a demented stalker.

Everyone is mostly correct about the "mutual follow."

You can send a DM to anyone who follows you without them having to follow you back first. (Was contacted this way one time by a cutie who saw me viewing his Periscope.)

There is an account setting that enables "accept DM's from anyone." The default is no, but some of the working boys have it enabled for the very purpose you are thinking. ;)

Hmm...didn't know about that, but then the only people on Twitter I get updates on is David Benjamin & Brent Ray Fraser (who most definitely is NOT an escort....so if you see his stuff, do not make a business offer).

Lol. You read my mind! However I don't think I'm a match for Twitter. I will try to survive the learning curve.
