So-so I prefer Uber there. Just make sure you have google translate to communicate with your drive through uber messaging. Taxi can be expensive and many try to take advantage in the taxis. One guy charged me $8 to go one block, had another taxi driver help me find guys and dropped me off and took the long way to keep charging me... But the taxis there have no meters or insurance. Uber requires 2 types of insurance and you'll never get scanned if you do leave a bad review and uber in DR will contact you immediately to fix the issue

Not true lol they have immigration rules, but that country is so corrupt no one enforces anything. Most Haitians leave on their own though because DR stopped giving them cedulas (identification cards) so they can't work but they still dominate the prostituion world in the DR
