Hey MrMiniver:

I have been a member of SA for about six weeks. But, I too need advice about how to proceed. Can anyone help?

I would like to know about the ups, downs, how to proceed, things to avoid, etc. Any experience would be appreciated.

I recieved lots of contacts - perhaps 4 to 6 per day. It seems clear to me that some of the contacts that are hundreds of miles away are only looking for money. They sound sincere but what service could they be offering other than taking money? As well I have been contacted by lots of people in my home town so I suspect they might be willing to offer a service. So, it seems like a very large and very mixed bag.

Thanks friends.

I don't know how well it works for daddies, but I knew a couple of good young guys who listed as babies. It was a minefield of problems for them.

Here's a story I can relate from a young friend of mine who is a graduate student at the University of Iowa. He's 24 and recently joined seekingarrangements.com. He was visiting me in CT and asked me if I had any experience with it. I said I had never heard of it. So then he told me his story.

Last Fall, he joined, was immediately contacted by a guy in SF who flew him out there for a 4 day trip for $2500. No sex, just to be his companion (arm candy he called it). They slept in the same bed, cuddled, nothing more. It all went well, he was paid, went home. A few weeks ago, the same guy in SF flew him out there again. This time it was 3 days and $1500. There was a lot of drinking and my friend admitted that he was probably drunk for a good part of the time because the "guy kept plying me with drinks." Similar experience, no sex. After the weekend, he got to the airport and the guy gave him his envelope. When he opened it later, it contained only $500. The first visit was paid via paypal while he was there, the second visit was cash.

I told him I'm guessing the guy was "plying you with drinks" in the hopes of there being sex but didn't know how to ask you. He said the guy was 42 and attractive.

Here's where it gets ugly. My friend found that he was immediately blocked on his cell so he sent the guy an e-mail asking what the problem was and for the rest of the money. The "client" then sent him a photograph of my friend's DRIVERS LICENSE! An obvious threat. He must have gone through my friend's things when he was asleep. So now he has all of my friend's personal information. He said to me that he wondered if he also took photos of his credit cards and everything. I suggested he might want to have the numbers changed.

He said the guy eventually sent him another $200. I told him to leave it at that and not to antagonize the guy since he has all your personal information.

So that's why I posted initially. I wondered what other people's experiences had been with the site.

I joined Seeking Arrangement about six months ago. My initial experience was as illustrated, above. I reviewed each "posting" and immediately deleted those that were of no interest to me as well as those that were not located in my immediate area. That left about 8 people as "prospects". I then contacted each of them to suggest that we meet for a casual dinner (nothing fancy). The response rate was about fifty percent. Of the four that responded, we were able to make a "date" and have a quiet dinner at a local restaurant. I let each person know that this first meeting was simply going to be an "interview" and that I would pick up the tab for dinner as well as pay him for his time ($50.00 per hour). The four "interviews" went well and an "arrangement" was made. For accompanying me to social events and parties, I would cover all expenses and pay the rate of $50.00 per hour with a four hour minimum--strictly platonic. For something "more", the deal was the same, but the rate would be $500.00 for up to ten hours. So far, things have worked out well with no real problems. The people that have entered into the arrangement with me are, typically, college graduates who are either in graduate school or are in the early stages of their career. Their ages are from mid- to late twenties and they look on this as a source of extra cash in an enjoyable environment. Two of them have other "arrangements" with other clients (I did not ask for details other than the basics to ensure that we were being fair with one another). The other two, so I am told, have me as their sole client (no reason to doubt them and no reason to care one way or the other). Therefore, treating this as strictly a business arrangement and using the big head (instead of the little one below the belt), I think that this has worked out fairly well.

Just to make sure I understand $500 total for up to 10 hours?

I don't know Seeking Arrangements. In fact, from a first glance it looked like a mostly straight hookup website.

The one website you should be very cautious about is http://www.sugardaddyforme.com

For the simple reason that once you have a profile on there, is will be there FOREVER. It is impossible to take it down or delete it. The site does this, I think, to make believe they have a huge number of daddies and sons to choose from, which encourages people to subscribe. Most of the profiles on there are 'dead' (for lack of a better word). Do not fall in that trap.

I checked out the site and it looks "interesting". You can set up a basic account that will allow you to browse with just a throwaway email account. You can also set yourself up as a daddy looking for men. I haven't done anything more than just a cursory browse, but I'm going to check it out a little more.

The interesting thing is that you can RECEIVE messages with a basic account. But you have to upgrade ($70 per month) to READ them. Cute :)

I measure everything I do with regards to adult entertainment in "session dollars" in order to gauge value. Four months of this BS would get me an actual session with my favorite. No way does it make the value cut.

Exactly. This is definitely a site for people looking for more long term sugar daddy/sugar baby arrangements and not 1 hr appts. I suppose if that's what you're looking for it could be worth it but who knows. They also require you to give an annual income and net worth for your profile which is visible for all to see.

It isn't for me. I can find that -- if I wanted to -- elsewhere. I was just curious what others experiences were since I had never before heard of the site.

I suppose what one could do is pay for one month, communicate with as many potential prospects as one wishes, give them an e-mail address and continue communication there.

This site is basically the proverbial pet monkey, you know, ppl who have them cause it's "almost" like having a kid but they're not quite willing to go all in o_O If you look at the boy-babies profiles many of them joined 2 or three years ago and are still active, not that some aren't looking for one Daddy to change their life care for them long term, but the vast majority are Escort-adjacent, not quite ready to go all in BUT still willing to do what it takes to get the $$$ and the dinners gifts perks and "maybe" even get outta the buttfuckEgypt towns many seem to live in. (some list they are open to MEN/WOMEN, so they're prolly str8. The INTERESTING thang is that the site DOES list their log-in locale etc which they cannot bypass or alter, so a boy's profile who lists his location as New York or Los Angeles will OFT say they've logged in from Mexico Brazil or Canada:rolleyes: (they DO have live meet n greets for Sugar Dads n Sugar Babes to mingle over cocktails, they've had them here in NYC but so far ONLY for the FEMALE sugar babies and str8 Daddies, not the gay ones. (not sure if BOTH pay to go or JUST the men, since when it comes to pretty young opne-minded ladies they always seem to get in everywhere free ;)

I know a masseur/escort in Seattle who said he was going to attend a party like that last year around SuperBowl time, I think. I don't know for sure if he did or not.

Interesting prospects for both sides I guess. I was being *ahem* cynical at first, thinking that it's a whole bunch of twinky 20 somethings and the silver daddies who love them - but after reading through some profiles it seems as though there are some serious inquires and curiosity out there.

  • 8 months later...

Pardon the *BUMP*

An interesting assortment of experiences. I got tired of seeing no one show up in Boston, and of the 20-somethings who really hold no interest for me for a long-term relationship.

So I looked in another major city and found a Brazilian in his early 40's with a PhD from Cambridge (UK). After a sincere thought of "you can't make this stuff up," we've been chatting for a couple of weeks. Yes, I did the google search and photo search and he appears to be for real. And I could fall hard for this one.

Any thoughts? After the Army Sergeants and the Other Randoms online, this guy has either got to be SERIOUSLY psychopathic to create a false persona, or he's for real. You can't make this stuff up.
