I hate to admit not knowing this but in the Hooboy's reviews under Kink some are listed as "Switch." Dominate I understand, Submissive I understand but not switch. Does this just mean he's versatile?

Thanks for enlightening one ignorant on the subject.

"Switch" is an expression from 1975-78 and refers to one retired bunco cop and one retired con man forming a private detective agency that specializes in pulling "switches" on the other con men still operating on the wrong side of the law, concocting elaborate schemes that hopefully result in the swindlers swindling themselves. :+

P.S. Yes, it means they are versatile.

Hey Randy,

The answer above was clear.... but I love to be graphic.}(

Some people like to dominate exclusively, some like to be dominated only. There are some, who like to be subservient and spanked and all that.... and then.... TAKE REVENGE! :) In the same session!!!

For sure it sounds more fun, and even if I am only a DOM, I can see the benefits of switching...

Some people say that switching allows you to "exercise" or "massage" some parts in your self that would not be dealt with otherwise... relinquishing control and power, and at the same time, focusing all your attention in your partner while you full-mindedly give the relaxation that he/she needs. (while you dominate him/her)

Sounds fun, hey?

Happy spanking!:9

Yeah, I think it's someone who can take on either role (dominant or submissive) in bed.

I tend to be a submissive, for example, but I'd be interested in exploring at least TRYING to be a dom (not sure how well I'll do yet) and I am versatile. hehe.

Guys,

Thanks for the education. Have only tried this once when I went with a much younger man who liked to play "Daddy's little boy" and have me spank him. It was OK but not really my thing so when that fling was over I didn't try it again.

Anyway, thanks. I know I can always find the answers here that will broaden my knowledge of sexuality.

Thanks,

Randy, I feel bad for you; you have been the victim of a terrible and cruel joke. The other posters in this thread are not being truthful; "Switch" was a bad TV show from the 70's starring Robert Wagner, Eddie Albert and Sharon Gless. I happen to know this because I live for the TV Tome website (http://www.tvtome.com/). Please accept my apology on behalf of the others.

I am a bit offish about the words "TAKE REVENGE!" I have a feeling that you know that we don't mean it literally in terms of negative emotions being exchanged. However, on a thread where someone doesn't know the meaning of "switch" you are not singing to the choir. If there are any lurkers, etc., who might get confused about it, we are actually talking more about an exchange of power, including probably extreme sensual stimulation (but not necessarily).

May I suggest to y'all what we call the three minute game? First player A asks "What would you like me to do to you?" After player B answers, player A says either "I can do that for you." Or "Thank you. Is there anything else I could do for you instead?" Then, as soon as B comes up with something A can get into, A does it to B for three minutes. Then they reverse roles and ask the same question. Another three minutes of action. Then, as a shampoo bottle would say, rinse and repeat. Just skip the rinse part. Lots of fun and gets right to the heart of "switch." }(
