Honcho's post really intrigued me. It seems there's a whole double life going on with concert musicians.

 

Only one of the 4 intended to make his living as a professional musician, and as soon as he got steady work he stopped

escorting.

 

My guess is the people who land jobs in major symphony orchestras or tour as concert artists decide they have too much to

lose. There are certainly some major heart-throbs among such artists (think of Tyro's clarinetist, or Joshua Bell when

he was younger), but I think as a class, professional musicians are risk-adverse.

The closest I have, is while attending a football game with an amazing companion a slightly inebriated woman asked us if we were related.
