PLEASE NOTE: We encourage more escorts as well as clients to come attend the luncheon as this is a gathering for all escorts and clients to celebrate one another, network together, and enjoy each other's company in a special social setting.

Thanks JD for helping with this. I know you reached out to Aaron to help build upon the network here in Southwest FloriDUAH. I think it helps both clients and escorts to organize and network.

Thanks to this forum for providing a foundation for open and honest exchange. Gosh, is this what the First Amendment is about?

Hey All,

So I will be sending out the location of the Luncheon in an email to everyone who has RSVP'd in 1 week. So far we have 25-30 guests and about half clients and half escorts, which is great! If anyone is thinking of going and has not RSVP'd, please email me ASAP. Also, if you are on the fence but can't make a decision yet, please let me know.

Once I confirm with the restaurant how many attendees we are expecting, there may not be room for many more.

Thanks!

Evan

Hi, is there a special hotel hosting?

Hey Rocky. Not that I know of. I think people will be scattered around the city, mostly near Dupont Circle.

Hi, is there a special hotel hosting?

Hey Rocky,

This event has unofficially been centered around Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend. The headquarters hotel for that has been the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. It is likely sold out at this point. Nearby hotels include the Liaison Hotel, the Washington Court, and Kimpton Hotel George.

Some luncheon attendees have stayed at the Hyatt or the overflow properties if they also plan to make MAL a focus of attention. MAL is a lot of fun but could be overwhelming for some people if they are not into the Leather and Fetish scene. Fortunately, everyone there is pretty nice and certainly not judgmental.

At past lunches, people have stayed in the Dupont Circle area hotels. There are a number of Kimpton hotels in DC and that chain tends to dump lot of inventory on the hotel booking sites. Included in that group are Hotel Palomar, Madera, Topaz, The Donnovan, and Hotel Rouge. The DuPont Circle Hotel is also centrally located but not a Kimpton.

Obviously there's every Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Starwood hotel brand known so you have plenty to choose from.

My personal favorite is Hotel Rouge at Scott Circle on 16th Street, NW. It's in a good location near Dupont and not far from most of the major monuments and the White House. I'm staying here even though I live in nearby Arlington.

I hope this is helpful to you and anyone else planning to attend and needs hotel suggestions. :)

Thank you JD following up on me :) I may not be able to come, but who knows!

Hey baby,

Would be a sincere pleasure indeed to have you join us during the festivities.

You're more than welcome as the door is always open if you decide within the next couple of days to join us for the event.

Hey Guys! I have a few announcements about the Daddy's Luncheon.

  • The luncheon will be held at Floriana Restaurants on 17th and Qst NW across from last year's restaurant next Saturday the 16 from 12-2ish. They have amazing food, a great staff, and nice private room for us.

  • We have about 30 confirmed participants for the event, about 50/50 ratio of escorts and clients which is great! There will be room for a few extra guys if anyone decides they would like to come at the last minute. If anyone needs to cancel, please email me to let me know.
  • Our Escort of the Year, JD Daniels, will be organizing a trip to Secrets and a dinner later in the weekend. Keep and eye out for posts by him for more details!
  • JD and I will be hosting a happy hour at the MAL host hotel on Friday from about 5:30-7PM at the bar in the lobby. This will be super casual and fun, I hope to see as many of you there as possible!

I will be emailing all confirmed participants shortly with more details on the restaurant and happy hour.

I'm socially awkward and often do not feel comfortable in social settings, but my curiosity is stronger than my shyness and I will be there. I would love to know the list of attendants, I'm very anxious (in a good way) about this.

We can be shy together :) I have (had?) social anxiety and the one thing I can say is that it gets better the more you force yourself out of your comfort zone—preferably among a kind group of people

Thank you Evan and JD for arranging this. For those of you who haven't been to MAL or the Hyatt during MAL before, Friday night at 530 is going to be a madhouse. Here's rough picture of about that time from last year.

That doesn't capture the size of the lobby. Or the crowd density. Or the noise level. Or the scent of leather that will hit you when you walk into the hotel. But you come into the hotel, down the escalator and the bar is off to the left. Fortunately, JD is a hard man to miss, but you still may have to look. Come in leather if you want. Or not. It is the most accepting group you'll ever want to meet. And Daddy's group is always welcoming too. So for the newcomers, you'll have a blast.

What? All Americans are brash and self-confident. Everyone knows that!

I'll be there, arriving in DC on Thursday evening. I see from Floyd's post just now that the Friday evening drinks will be a quiet and reserved affair.

The good thing about this group is that we all share the same "rather unusual hobby" (as Epigonos put it so brilliantly so many years ago). Whether it has been in DC or Palm Springs, the forum get-togethers have been welcoming for all. So even the shy will feel at home. You are among friends so relax and enjoy.

The good thing about having the happy hour Friday is the Hyatt won't be out of the top shelf vodka by then. They tend to sell out of the vodka from the top shelf down. We gay boys do know our vodkas, don't we?

Oops, sorry. Porteño if I recall correctly?

Pretty good, mike. No, I'm not exactly a Porteño, who is somebody from Buenos Aires. I lived and grew up in that wonderful city, but I was not born there and lived many years in another city, Corrientes. I don't consider myself "porteño" or "correntino", just argentinean.

Hi Floyd,

Looking forward to seeing both you and Mike Carey during the DC event weekend.

Very excited in seeing alot of those I haven't met at the event last year which was my first year attending.

Both Evan and I are quite pleased with the turn out so far, and do anticipate this event/luncheon to be as superb as last years event when Legendary Dave hosted the Luncheon around this time last year. :).

Me and Evan can assure all of you who'll be attending, it'll be alot of fun. You'll have such a blast you wouldn't wanna go home. Lol.

Hello Fellow Attendees:

Knowing we're only a week away from our exciting event that is about to take place before us, I would like to invite those of you who'll be at the DC Forum Weekend to join me and Evan on Saturday night for a little fun and wild (innocent) excitement(of course) at Secrets (Saturday Night January 16th, 2016) the evening of the Luncheon.

Then on Sunday night(January 17th) at Annie's Steakhouse as we close out the weekend getting together for a lovely dinner before we all departing heading back home. Just like the luncheon, this will be more of the dinner version for us to close out the weekend with a farewell celebration.

Please be sure to do of the following in order to properly add to name to the upcoming events after or before the luncheon:

Zigfeld's/Secrets

Saturday January 16th, 2016

* Guest who are looking to attend Secrets on Saturday evening, please email me at: [email protected] or PM me on Daddy's Forum so I'll have a proper head count of who will be attending to arrange special seating if necessary. Please have your name in by Monday January 11th, 2016 in order to put your name on the list.

Here is a link to secrets for those of you who never been before or would like to get a feel for it to see if you would like to attend. I think you'll like the atmosphere a whirlwind of fun for those of us who like to "naughty" with the strippers here and there. LOL.

Come and be nasty with us....I know I will be getting down and dirty with the strippers being my first time there. emo3.gifemo7.gif Hope they'll have plenty of fans there as I'll be worn out almost fainting probably just from the excitement alone. LOL.:rolleyes::p:p.

Here are the details for the evening:

Annie’s Paramount Steak House

Sunday January 17, 2016

* Guest who are looking to attend Annie's On Sunday January 17th, please email me at: [email protected] or PM me on the forum by January 11th, 2016 in order to RSVP you on the guest list.

As Evan has inquired about the luncheon in a previous thread, this dinner is in the same order where it is NOT mandatory for clients to pay for an escorts dinner as this is a gathering for those who would like to spend some quality time together for a nice dinner with other fellow forum member/friends. If a client graciously wants to pay for an escorts dinner that's wonderful, but it's not a requirement.

l plan to have the dinner at 6:00pm at:

Annie’s Paramount Steak House

1609 17th St NW

Washington, DC 20009 b/t N Q St & N Corcoran St

Dupont Circle
