Escort Personal Websites: What Content and Features Do You Think Are Important?

This topic is directed more towards clients, but escort feedback is welcome of course!

 

So, I am a Web Design student, and it is also time to give my personal website a facelift, and ultimately offer design services to other escorts. Besides the obvious SEO stuff, I want to know what content is and features clients would REALISTICALLY find useful, or set said escort apart from the competition. Here are my thoughts, but please, be honest - and I am open to suggestions.

 

Website should include basic info, stats, photos, a more in depth about me, and exclusive photos not posted elsewhere. Discretion is often a concern, so some additional features i thought might be useful - just not sure that they are practical, given the nature of the business relies heavily on hormones..

 

Online Scheduling - Would include a basic form with First name and phone number...this feature is more for discretion and potentially for organization lol..

 

Online video chat.. Web chat for potential clients to for s few mins face to face before meeting.. The online scheduling may be better for this feature, however, I could see this turning into a free cam site..

 

Including a Twitter feed that is maintained..

 

Ads that lead to escort ads and/or fav porn sites? Or does that make the escort look fake?

 

Thoughts on those topics would be great, and I would greatly appreciate other ideas!!

Interesting concepts. Of course, the essentials are knowing your rates, physical appearance (i.e. pictures), and what you're into. I'm not sure how you could make online scheduling per se work, because I have a feeling that you get tons of flakes booking online appointments then not showing up. What seems realistic is to show when you're available and when you're not. That would be quite helpful. Once I know what an escort looks like, I'm not sure how much an online video chat would add to the experience. I suppose it would be more of interest for you to know what your client looked like. I must confess, I haven't set up a camera on my computer. Maybe there's one on my laptop. I personally almost never hire unless I can see the escort's body and face. I guess the advantage of the video chat would be that I could feel assured that the pictures aren't many years old (or of someone else).

Thanks for your input. I agree that scheduling integration could attract flakes, and the video chat would be an interesting feature if needed. The reason why I am asking is that I feel as though there is some opportunity in the online arena. Since the fall of Rentboy, I have not really noticed and increase in traffic on other sites. So where did everyone go? Another question.. What are your thoughts on ads (like the ones on this site). Would it be a good thing or a bad thing to have ads that kind of show what I'm into.. or would that make the escort in question look like a fake?

Don't hold back. Let us know what you are "into". More info is better. In general, less info = flakier and fakier providers.

Ditto to Kevin's comment. Assumed you are not quite ready to go live. Here 4 things I look for:

1. I was watching a companion's video intro a while back. He was sitting in a living room of what looked like a nicely appointed apartment. He was nicely dressed and talked about himself. His pix were cute, but on the video, he grew on me exponentially. He wasn't perfect or rehearsed, he just looked so comfy in his own skin. There was a kindness in his demeanor that made me ...well...precum. I'm a sucker for authenticity. Give me some of that in your content, Preston.
   
2. I'd like to see an interview where you provide deeper answers about who you are and what you like - could be video or written. I prefer video interviews bc it will give me a better chance to see your facial expressions as you answer questions. You like a special kinda lube...link to me to where I can get it. You are into a specific kind of scene, take me there by pointing out actors or movies you have found interesting/arousing. In other words, build your advertising into your storyline and content. Don't just blast me with random ads on your pages.
   
4. Last: Intrigue me...give me plenty of you but not so much that by the third time I meet you I feel like I've peeled the entire onion.

Perhaps a 3-4 minute video clip interview instead of the video chat. I think RM was originally doing something like that but has stopped. I for know myself and some others that like to hear a guys voice before committing. I've heard it referred to as a "sound check" by someone I admire. [props]

 

IMHO Seeing and hearing a short interview video might also reduce some of the need for actual phone call which are often inconvenient for both parties and eliminate some time wasting and bruised egos if after the phone call an appointment doesn't generate a business opportunity.

I see things differently. I want to get a feel for what the man is like as a person. Sure physical characteristics are germane, but not decisive. Sometimes those characteristics may decide whether I look further, but the general persona he projects is critical. I'm as attacted as anyone to a hot body, and I don't deny that. Of course the stats and pics are the most important part but I like anything that makes the guy seem more human. Keep in mind your client base. If you have several clients that are in their 50s, 60s, and older, ease of navigation is essential with fonts and color schemes that are easy to read. We're not all tech-savvy.

 

The biggest thing I've appreciated when visiting escorts' websites is a schedule letting me know when they are available or not. Don't need a hour-by-hour summary, but if you are not going to be available in your hometown next week (either because you are out of town or simply studying for finals - I don't need to know why) simply have a calendar entry stating not available.

Adding a quick video 4-5 mins doing a quick intro of yourself is a good idea. I have one on my rent men profile and from guys who've seen it and hired me from the site have given me positive feed back saying that it greatly influenced their decision to hire me because one they heard my voice and helped verify the pics I have posted were of me. So I would suggest a quick video introduction keeping it short sweet and simple nothing graphic.
