I think it was a mistake to reschedule. You either are naive, or you really want the money. If it's the first, you do not have my sympathy. If it's the second, you have my sympathy. Assuming that this is somebody local, and it does not inconvenience you other than time wasted communicating, arguably you don't have a whole lot to lose.

 

When I started escorting I kept a list of contacts who had expressed an interest in meeting with me when I got to their city. I think there may have been prospective clients I emailed up to a dozen times, and never met, either because they ignored my emails, or the timing never worked. One time a guy hired me for an hour and when we met he said it was mostly because I kept emailing him every time I visited his city and at some point he figured, "Well, what the fuck, I may as well give him a go." No one ever accused me of harassment, but arguably getting repeated emails from an escort is either harassing on my part, or stupid on my part. My point is that I viewed it as "worth it" because I had the time and figured I had nothing to lose. There is something similar about this, as long as you feel you have nothing to lose.

 

Did he actually agree to pay partly or fully in advance, or are you just hoping the 4th time is the charm? And even if he does show up on Attempt # 4, are you comfortable with having communicated to him that there is no downside in repeatedly cancelling appointments?

Good for you! That was a smart business decision. Now whether he is super busy, super nervous or just super flaky, you have some protection and he has some additional motivation. Try to figure out which he is. If it was just a bad case of nerves you can get him past that. He might become a new regular.

Good for you. Most doctors' offices have a no-show fee if you don't cancel over 24 hours prior to the appointment. Ours doesn't, because we serve the poor, but I wish we had some system to discourage no-shows. As you might guess, it's usually the same a-holes who no-show repeatedly. It makes it very tough for others, because appointments in our system are at a premium. A patient who wants to get an appointment with me usually has to call within 10 minutes of the appointment unit opening up at 7 AM (unless someone cancels during the day). I feel that there should be one no-show allowed per 10 visits or so, then the patient should be charged.

Well, you can't have it both ways. You can't have this be a full-time job if you're too paranoid to have an ad (I'm not sure why rentboy was fine but rentmen is problematic for you). If you want this to be your primary source of income, then you need to advertise seriously. Either that, or (1) join the military full-time, or (2) see if you can get a sugar-daddy.
