Hi,

I have noticed while reading the message board that quite a few people have a picture of themselves when they post. I was wondering if you could tell me how to do this. I have some pictures on my computer under the "my pictures" folder in the folder of "my documents" but don't know their URL (or even what a URL is). I guess it's a good thing that I'm studying languages at university and not computers. Any help that anyone could give would be most appreciated. Thank you for whatever advice you have.

P.S.: I also noticed a few posts where people actually posted pictures here where the text is. How does one do that? Just curious about this part in case it should ever be needed. Thanks again.

Hi Jared

First, welcome - hope you enjoy the Message Center.

On your computer screen, a couple of lines under the EROS advertisement, you'll see FAQ. Click on that and it will explain to you how to post a picture or Avatar.

Hi Jared,

A URL is simply the address of a website or a file posted to that website. For instance, the URL of this site is:

http://www.male4malescorts.com

Hmm...I just tried to illustrate w/the pic on your site (linked to in your reviews, but that didn't work, and I've got to check out of my hotel right now, so, uh, read the FAQ like HooBoy says... :7

Technical Assistance

I usually get my imported Czech kid to do it; it is part of his job description. But assuming you cannot import Czech boys into Toronto, you should know what a "U.R.L" is:

URL(Uniform Resource Locator) - The World Wide Web address of a site on the Internet. The URL for the Internal Revenue Service, for example, is http://www.irs.gov. (See also "Domain name")

As you can see in the example, not all URL's end in com, the way this site (http://www.male4malescorts.com) does. You also need to spell a URL correctly (again, using the same example, this site omits an "E" it is only male 4 male scorts in the URL address.

To get a photograph to appear, you simply type in the URL, as I am about to do, and there is a place on your profile where you add your photograph:

http://picsd.bigmuscle.com/photosl/965/BM817965.jpg

And thus, you can see a photograph, or in some cases, a box with a red X meaning the image will not load.

Good luck!

Not having to check out of a hotel room, and knowing that with the Marc Anthony Tushie Slap of Approval, everyone else here will be dying to find out, here is the photo from your review:

Here is the photo from your Geocities web site photo, but it only loaded for me after several attempts: http://www.geocities.com/jared6x/ryan-02.jpg

RE: Technical Assistance

HI again,

Okay, I've made a geocities website and posted my new photographs on it (http://www.geocities.com/TorontoJared/photopage1.html) and typed in one of their URL addresses (but it didn't work (as you can see from the little red box over there). Computers are so difficult sometimes. Is there a reason why it's not working? I tried it a few times with no additional success.

Hey Jared: Well right now, too many people have obviously gone by to check out your pics, as the website is "temporarily unavailable" due to exceeding the daily alloted date transfer limit.

Maybe the "x" will be replaced with a hot pic tomorrow... though I know that I will be waiting in line to see your pics tomorrow too (with a bunch of others, I am sure), and we may drive the site into dysfunction again!

Welcome Jared

In order to display a picture here (where the text is) you need first to upload your picture on Geocities.

Then simply enter the URL of the picture ending with .jpg or .gif .

If you wish to avoid the red cross you can also upgrade on Geocities.

Good luck !

Hey it works now!

But your pic files are WAY too big.

When I posted one of them here, it took up the whole damn bandwidth (lol), so I took it down.

If you have photoshop, make them smaller. If not, send to me and I will do it.
