I was watching this with my nieces and nephews. I was pretty impressed with the humor and pop culture references, which are clearly pitched at adults. Enjoy.

Haha, yeah, I discovered these a while ago and was very pleasantly surprised how much subversive humor there was to enjoy as an adult.

Cartoons being aimed at both adults and children have been around for a long time. The old Warner Brothers cartoons (Bugs Bunny, for example) definitely aimed both high and low.
