I visited Club Columbus recently and had an okay time, but I'm wondering if it takes a few visits to get the hang of things. It seemed like an inexpensive alternative to hiring an escort, but I found I wasn't attracted to most of the men there that afternoon. Bathhouses are hit or miss. You may go back to the same place another time, and the place will seem to be full of "10"s who all think you're wonderful. You may go back again and find a great-looking crowd but it seems impossible to connect with anybody. Sex clubs are the same way. I gave up bars and sex clubs decades ago when I realized that they were probably a really lousy venue for meeting the love of my life. Within a short time after that, I met the love of my life.

Very well put, Rudynate. I generally have a very good time at the 2 bathhouses in Providence. While hit or miss, I always find a number of guys to play with. Admittedly, group action and anonymity are real turn ons for me. Biggest drawbacks would be if you are fussy about the guys you're playing with or very particular about what the sex entails. You get what you get. Be careful to be conscious about safer sex as my experience suggests that it is not on the mind of most of the guys there.
