I never thought that JT sounded drunk, just eccentric. He originally posted as Brooklyn Guy, if I remember correctly, but during the great site shift following Hooboy's death, somehow he lost the use of that handle and had to switch it to JT Brooklyn. He was a prodigious poster, partly because his frequent posts were often very short. Over time we discovered that we had probably crossed paths a number of times in real life before the cyber world was created. I am glad to hear that his departure was voluntary.

JT could sound eccentric in print and had a unique way of expressing himself. Actually he is not like that at all in person. Even though he has left NYC he has not lost his Brooklyn accent!

To make a slight correction, he originally posted here as JT Brooklyn and during one of the changes to the forum, like so many other posters, lost that moniker and chose Brooklyn Guy as a replacement. One of the powers that be here combined his two Forum personas and then tallied up and combined his posts. That occurred when the present system was adopted. Unfortunately, JT decided to retire from the Forum just prior to that event.

WTF! my name comes up a lot here. hahaha.

lemme set the record straight, even if its just mundane details -

sadly, I never got to meet JT.

(I'd say the same about
anyone
I've not met before)

I'm on a tropical island, yes. I live in bali now. doing a tremendous project there. still escorting - mostly when traveling abroad (ie, to the usa; see calendar below).

I'm legendary... but wouldn't say I'm famous.

I don't post drunk. in fact, I'm rarely drunk.

I do, however, also write in what some might say is an eccentric style. or styles. heh heh.

Famous Dave is a bbq restaurant, in various locations in the usa. that's not me.

I also have nothing to do with pizza. other than eating it. and yes, guilty of sometimes eating just the cheese and toppings. or all but the crust.

actually, I have no guilt about that. or eating only the tops of cupcakes. but those are other subjects.

anyway, after these points were brought up, I decided to do a little research on the terms Legendary and Famous.

from yahoo answers (a reliable source? not really, but...) :::: "Famous is being well-known by everyone of your time, whereas being legendary is being well-known, even generations after your own time."

from wikidiff.com ::::: "...the difference between legendary and famous is that legendary is of or pertaining to a legend or to legends, while famous is well known."

yikes! the moniker I got was suggesting I was a legend, and not real? I didn't like that, so I did what any normal person would do... I kept searching the internet until I found what I liked. running out of my-own-alotted-surfing-time, I found this... comparing Legend to Myth (yikes, I hope I'm not a myth! or my penis is not a myth! hahaha)

from diffen.com :::: "A legend is presumed to have some basis in historical fact and tends to mention real people or events. Historical fact morphs into a legend when the truth has been exaggerated to the point that real people or events have taken on a romanticized, "larger than life" quality. In contrast, a myth is a type of symbolic storytelling that was never based on fact. Throughout time, myths have sought to explain difficult concepts (e.g., the origin of the universe) with the help of common story devices, such as personification and allegories. These words are commonly used interchangeably to refer to the fictitious nature of something. Historically and academically, however, there is a difference."

Historically and academically, however, there is a difference? all I can say is... "phew."
