I'm curious as to how many here use Eudora? After all these years I'm sick of using Outlook Express. I constantly have problems with it.

I also have Outlook 2000 for my primary account but it doesn't support multi accounts well from what I've been told.

What do you guys think of Eudora Pro? If you do use it what program do you use for a newsreader (Usenet)?

Thanks in advance for any ideas and info.

I liked Eudora when I first got my Mac but now use the proprietary e-mail utility software that came with my Apple lap top. I would look into the quality of the internal spam controls and other specific features you might use or think you might want to use before you buy.

Here is a good site with some end-user reviews that might help you as I assume you have the Windows version:

Who told you that? One of the places Outlook shines is support for multiple email accounts. (I have six configured right now, I think.)

I've spent many years evaluating newsreaders. Just when I find one I like, I end up using a computer that doesn't have it installed so I land back in the one that IS installed: Outlook Express.

I've probably spent more time evaluating news readers than I have actually reading newsgroups. ;-) At some point, I just gave up. There isn't anything compelling enough to go out of your way when Outlook Express is "good enough" and it's already there.

Just my $.02

Deej you haven't had problems with multiple accounts on Outlook? A guy from IT at work told me this. That is why I hadn't even tried. I love Outlook, just don't want it to become messed up.

I haven't had any problem at all and I'm running with 5 or 6 accounts configured. The biggest problem I have is remembering to set the "from" address on outgoing messages.

Been using it that way for years.

BUT if you're doing this on your work machine and you're on an Exchange server, your mileage may vary. Particularly if using IMAP instead of POP3. Outlook can get hinky if you've got multiple sources (POP3, IMAP, Exchange, workgroup vs. standalone, etc...)

For a home user juggling multiple POP3 accounts, Outlook is just fine.

(and having said that I'm knocking wood because it's sure to completely crash almost immediately, trashing everything on file)
