While Rock Star Ace, the Ace of Clubs, is still posting and making his presence known on this thread, albeit less frequently than in the past, Ace Banner, the Smooth Southern Ace of Hearts, was last seen headed for a life away from the Daddys Crowd with the man of his dreams.

Mr Banner last logged in in early January. Maybe someone who knows him from the board will let him know he is still thought of fondly.

 

We never met, btw, but I did contact him about meeting before his retirement. During all contact I had with him, he was very polite and gracious.

Both Aces are outstanding gentlemen. Had an appointment all set up with Banner but his plane flight got all messed up and we weren't able to set up another time and place.

I knew autocorrect had struck again as soon as I saw it. It affects me more on Twitter, where I often edit to meet the character limit and there are no takebacks (i.e., edit function).

It's only 140 characters per and most of us are retweeting other's tweets or replying to friends' tweets, which can vary from admiring vacation pics to social justice to book recommendations to commiserating with a mom of two kids under 18 battling a third aggressive form of cancer. I hope to meet some of them at a book signing and informal get-together afterward in NYC on Wednesday.

That sounds nice. I hope the meet-up works out. I use Facebook for most of those activities.
