Tiffany's...well, that's nice. :p Personally, I will always treasure the rings Derek and I traded when we were teenagers. Standing outside a Woolworth's, we saw a gumball machine with metal "fashion rings" for 25¢ so Derek put a quarter in, turned the knob, and out popped my ring. I did the same thing for him and right then and there, we vowed to spend the rest of our lives together and put the rings on each other's fingers. But yeah, Tiffany's is cool, too. ;-)

And you both are cool and I am happy to have met you both. Labels mean nothing to me, only quality and I think you and Derek are quality.

Even if you're cheap. :+

(gosh I know some people are going to take that the wrong way so before I hit edit....let me say - It is a joke. Rick will understand and for the rest who I have to explain, please ask for the explanation on Rick's email address, not mine.. Thank you.)

Way cool. Who could forget her electrifying mall tour back in the day? :+

OK, this explains the flood of emails I received today asking if I'm cheap. As I told them all, "No, I only look that way." :+

  • 2 weeks later...

Well this week has been quite the ruckus with the news about SF, PDX, Boston and other places. I am quite sad about the events all over the counrty. Eight hours for now I will be heading down to SF on what was supposed to be the happiest day in my life but for now that dream has been put on hold. Luckily I will be with my bf's parents who are flying in on Monday from Chicago, my pops and sister the dyke on Tuesday and the bf will be joining me on Tuesday. So all is not lost. Thankfully I have loving family to spend a couple days with. Hope you guys have a great week. I will unfortuately most likely not have steady access to a computer as I do not know where to find an internet cafe but I'm sure that I can find one somewhere.

Hugs,

Greg

That really sucks, Greg. Well, maybe you guys should plan a trip out east in the spring and get hitched in Massachusetts. Maybe we can do a double wedding, like Marcia and Jan did in "The Brady Brides." :)

Hey Greg, how are the wedding plans going?

You know, even with the Massachusetts Legislature's vote in yesterday's constitutional convention, the chances are very good that you can get married legally in Boston on May 17th.

oops,

I forgot that there is this stupid obscure law from 1913 that won't let out of state citizens get married in Massachusetts if their state doesn't allow their marriage (Or something like that).

LOL! Unfortuately we will not be heading out to Boston to get married. SF set us back a nice lil penny or few as it was. Besides there are a few things that I have planned this summer that is going to cost $$$. But onto the details of the trip. The flight was good able to get my usual upgrade for a few bucks more to SF and back home. Which made me quite happy since the comfort and service of coach can make me quite cranky. The hotel Hotel Palomar was nice nothing too fancy but still nice and the folks at the front dest were quite helpful in my time of need (more info on that later). I flew down a day before the other half so that gave me a chance to spend time with a friend of mine who now lives in SF. The other halfs parents flew in on the 15th same day as me so the inlaws and I had a nice little dinner and got a chance to mend some hurt feelings when I was in Chicago last January. And now I actually like the mother in law! She might be white trash but shes got sass hehehe. After dinner we retire to our rooms and I was out like a light. RING RING RING goes my cell phone at 4 AM! I answer it it's my dad on the other line from LA asking me his confirmation number. I told him he didn't need it, just give the person at the counter your name and it'll be ok. He then goes on to tell me that he didn't book the hotel that was within his very tight budget!!! Oh I was pissed like you couldn't believe. I nor did he have the name of the hotel so I couldn't call the hotel for him. After picking him up from Oakland cause he couldn't figure out how to get from Oakland to my hotel via bart (I LOVE BART!!!!) I gave him the phone book and told him to find a hotel. After about 15 20 minutes of him just thumbing through it I went to the front desk to explain the situation and they gave me the names of two hotels within a couple blocks that would fit my dads budget. I went back upstairs gave him the names and told him to call the hotels. His reaction? He looked at the paper and went back to watching tv. After this I knew what he was trying to get at. I think he was thinking I was going to call to the desk and have a roll away brought up for my dad and sister!! NO F**CKING WAY was I going to do that. It took the other half to call call the two hotels and book the room for my dad and sister. After my dad and sister get settled into their room I took us all to Height Ashbury (sorry about the misspell) to the Pork Store for some good ol fashioned huge portion of grease! Oh how I love the Pork Store. The 16th went pretty good over all. That night of the 16th I wanted to get pics of my and the other half standing at the steps of City Hall. That was very emotional for me and I almost cried and I still want to cry because that was supposed to be a very special day for the both of us. Rule number one about having your pics taken, don't let the mother in law take them hehehehe although they did come out they didn't come out that well....can we say red eye? LOL!! So after that it was off to dinner to Bucca de Beppos for family style Italian food. MMMMMM my waist line is still expanding from all those carbs hehehe. The last full day the 17th the in laws had to catch their flight back to Chicago so we said our good byes to them and headed over to Fishermans Wharf for some In and Out burgers with my dad and sister. After lunch the other half and I wanted to go to the Castro since he hadn't been there before let alone SF. We told my dad the plan and figuring that it wasn't for him told him he could stay at the wharf if he wanted to but he said he'd come along. I wish now that he wouldn't have came along. The whole time in the Castro which to me isn't all that gay he was a total Mr. poopy pants. He acted like a child that was forced to go shopping at the mall with mommy. My dad and sister eventually left on the evening of the 17th much to the relief of the other half and myself. Pretty much the whole trip he acted like he didn't really want to be there. That he was only there cause he felt obligated. Mind you the only thing he had to pay for was the cost of airfare for my sister and his hotel. The in laws or myself picked up most everything for him. The night of the 17th the other half and I went to the Stinking Rose for some good breath wrenching garlic food hehehehe. The last night was nice. we walked around d/t SF for a bit but had to turn in early as our flight was at 7 am the next day. I know this is a long post and it wasn't very exciting I'm sorry. But one or two good things about the trip was it was nice getting out of Seattle, it was nice going out of town with the other half and making amends with the mother in law hehehehe. Hopefully my next few trips LA and Chicago (my first and second favorite cities) will be much more eventful.

Hugs

Greg

Thanks for the update, Greg.

Whats really sad is that this obscure Massachusetts law was originally written to block interracial marriages.
