I wonder what you guys think about the following situation.

I recently went to Chicago on business and lined up an escort who, while young (24), has been in the business about 5 years. I like to travel light and I don't bring lube and condoms as I honestly don't feel like having to scan that through the metal detector for everyone to see. In the past, escorts have always brought lube and condoms (whether they were tops or bottoms) and I assumed he would do the same. When I opened the hotel room door, there was my escort (looking really cute and hot) but he was empty handed. While I wasn't 100% sure I would have him top me, obviously that was out of the question since he came unprepared. Had he come prepared, I likely would have gone further that we did.

I don't blame him as I didn't specifically ask him to bring protection and lube and I was still very pleased with our session. So was I wrong to expect him to come fully prepared as a professional escort?

Any professional escort should always be prepared with rubbers and lube, whether it be an incall or an outcall. Unfortunately, as not all escorts are professional, it's always a good idea to communicate your needs in advance.

Thanks Kevin. You confirmed my expectations and I completely agree I should have told him my expectations.

It does surprise me that an escort, no matter how old or young, who has been in the business for 5 years, would show up to an outcall unprepared, whether it was discussed before the appointment or not! I have never met a professional in my almost 5 years of hiring, top or bottom or versatile, who did not bring lube and condoms with them!

A handy, travel size "go kit" is a great solution for both clients and escorts... you need not have a half gallon fo lube to lug around along with your Costco size box of condoms (those can stay in the supply closet at home). Mine has a TSA sized bottle of lube, half dozen condoms, gum, and some wipes (and my Square credit card reader) and is small and discreet enough to carry around with out undue attention. As was mentioned above, I would think that those of us that are "professionals" would never leave home with out something like that.

Exactly - I've got all that in a little bag in my glove compartment.

Years ago, a friend had my car while I was out of town. Her daughter (about 8 then) was looking for a tissue, found a condom in my glove compartment, and asked "What is that?" Her mother said "It's gum, but you don't want it".

I'd always thought it would be like a chef showing up without his knives. Especially since most guys have a preferred brand in which they prefer to encase their sausage. Second time I hired was a verrry prominent escort/porn guy/Hookies winner. He showed up, then told me he only provides condoms and lube on in-calls. Now I always ask if the guy can bring "supplies" and carry my own as Bryanforservice suggests -- condoms, lube, cock rings, Altoids. (I'll add the wipes. Thanks!)

Part of me wonders, though, whether it's unpreparedness or a way to get out of saying "I really don't feel like topping."

Since I've never met an escort who was not prepared so far, obviously the young man LA Rob met has not ever been on my radar! I admit, the youngest escort I've ever hired in Chicago was Luke Milan who was 27 years old when he and I were both visiting ChiTown at the same time. He was WELL prepared with supplies AND well-prepared to make this client pretty happy, too!!! ;)

No need to put the condoms out in the ziploc bag for all to see when going through airport security. And I've found that the 3.5-ounce bottle of lube, once jumbled in among toothpaste & deodorant & whatnot, doesn't stand out enough to attract any notice.

Not that I would care if it did--let 'em stare in envy. :p

I test drive quite a few "newbies" who haven't figured out the logistics yet, so I'm forgiving, but many "pros" don't bring supplies. I am prepared in all situations, and no longer bother to ask whether the escort will bring supplies. I've had guys tell me they had it covered, and did not. Like Bryan, I have my handy dandy kit to ensure safe, fun, passion-filled encounters.

There is no excuse for EITHER of you being ill prepared. Rob are you REALLY that worried that someone might think, "oh hey this guy has sex" by a complete stranger who happens to be a tsa agent? I do any where from 6-8 flights a month and I have NEVER had a tsa agent pull me aside and open up my suitcase to find a bottle of lube or a condom. They have pulled me aside and looked at my shower shot and 16 inch dildo though. If awareness of being a sexually active adult makes you uncomfortable then go pick up condoms and lube when you get to your hotel, you can get them at most pharmacies.

Your escort should have come with lube, its like showing up to work as a chef without your knives.

QUICK PSA

Coming prepared in a two way street, your escort will bring condoms and lube but you should bring a clean butt. If you want to have the best time bottoming with your escorts don't soil the sheets. If you don't know how to clean out ask your escort or there are plenty of threads on here to help you figure out a system that works for you. Accidents happen but the frequency and severity in which they do makes me think it's negligence or general lack of knowledge. If anything lets try not to scare the maids they have a hard enough jobs.

Call the concierge or bell captain and tell them what you need. Most large hotels keep a supply on hand. Those that don't will probably have an employee who'll be glad to run a personal errand for $50.

There is an old joke about a man who on a Friday purchased 6 dozen condoms at a pharmacy. On Monday, he returned to the pharmacy to complain that he had been charged for 6 dozen condoms, but counted only 5 dozen in the bag when he got home. The pharmacist, after correcting the mistake remarked, "I hope I didn't ruin your weekend."

The answer is simple. If there are no condoms there is no anal. The escort limits his duties. I don't think the escort forgot. My guess is he hoped you would not have them either. I find it best to be a good boy scout and always be prepared. I have had a tsa agent go through my suit case. He took a 4 oz bottle of mouth wash. I am sure the scanners at the airport a quit use to seeing condoms, lube, and other toys in peoples bags. As long as you are not traveling with friends or family, who cares.

I agree that an escort should come prepared with condoms, lube, wipes, etc. In fact, almost everyone I've hired has. At the same time, I think every client should also be prepared. Like Bryan, I have a little travel kit that contains a TSA-approved size of my favorite lube, several condoms, wipes, cock rings, gum, and a travel size mouthwash.
