Just curious, with pride fever spreading across the country. The epidemic has hit Denver this weekend (and Chicago and I think SF?) according to Rentboy.

So far for me, I've not noticed any difference in calls. Matter of fact, the days leading up to pride seem to be pretty quiet. With the exception 5 years ago today, I had atleast a client each day during the week leading up to pride, but I did notice the weekend slowed down.

Just wondering what's the trend other guys experience around pride.

The SF pride parade is Sunday June 28th. There are pride-related events the entire week (and a day) before.

(Tonight, the SF Freedom Band, Rainbow Symphony, Lesbian/Gay chorus of SF are presenting a concert

at the Palace of Fine Arts commemorating the 1915 world's fair - the Palace being the one surviving building -

including some music which has not been performed since).

If you're planning to visit a particular city for Pride expect less business than usual.

You may want to make a search in the Forum as this has been discussed before.

A couple years ago an escort I wanted to see if SF jacked up his price. Indicating more business during pride week. I said not thanks to him. Come to find out he had practically not business during pride. Guess I got the last laugh.

I stayed local for pride, but really didn't participate in it. There's been so much drama in this town over the last few months, that I barely had the strength to do anything pride related. The day I tried, drama quickly ensued. 3 dramas in less than 12 hours. These people are so far up their own behinds, they don't even know how to just relax and have fun. It's always some bullshit. So I really wasn't having it. Just focusing on finding a new state to live in.

Otherwise, no change in the amount of business though. Of course there were a billion extra ads out last weekend, which only exasperated the issue. I wish I'd of went to SF instead. Staying here was a waste of a Sunday and father's day.

Hmmm, I wish I could share the laughter but I can't seem to turn this frown upside down. I may not have cited more business, but if a guy is actively a part of pride activities...I could see where leaving or cancelling plans with friends could warrant a guy to ask for more money if he gets called up last minute to see a client. But with places charging anywhere from $10 to $100 for entrance during pride, I'd be glad to have a client bail me out of attending something...which is what happened to me Saturday night.

but great insight...and yeah going to SF for pride, maybe wouldn't of been the most lucrative, but I would have went for the debauchery and straight hellish liasions of all kinds...and discounted my prices knowing I'd probably only be able to offer 30 minute or shorter visits.

...That said, I'm glad pride is over, locally. With all the problems and struggles I've been going through the last 6 months with friends and all these faux, fake, phony foe-boyfriends, I just didn't want much to do with the community anymore. Why should I? These people out here have done nothing but bought misery and pains in my ass (no pun)
