Hi everyone

Am I an old-fashioned fuddy duddy or does anyone else get immediately turned off by the extended middle finger photo in this ad?

I've seen other dudes w/ the same digit finger extended in their ads & it's personally an immediate turn-off. Case closed... I'm over & done with any sort of interest in them.

It instantly disqualifies the guy in my consideration of hiring him, and in the case of Jared Jax, especially when the offending hand is attached to a spaghetti-like arm!

Although it is not an immediate turn-off for me, I find that the guys who post those types of pics are not guys I would hire for other reasons. Seems like a bad idea to give potential clients the finger.

I don't really get the guys point. One look and I'm gone!!!!!

It's just sign language that means "f*ck you," since that's what he's advertising that he'll do. Not especially charming, but not a big deal either.

Odd man out here....it's what the younguns are doing, so I get it, and it doesn't bother me. Not much different than when I used the word bitch en or pissed off in front of my mother, and she would go into cardiac arrest. I think it's much ado about nothing.

Waving the middle finger at me in initial pictures, or having a unflushed toilet while posing in the bathroom --- disqualifies my consideration also.

I'm not sure I have ever seen an unflushed toilet in a picture. GROSS!! What are they thinking?

I can't say I've never shot someone the bird. But in general it was in my car to someone outside the car I was not happy with. But I'd have to respectfully say it is different, BVB. You weren't marketing yourself to your mother.

But maybe the reason I don't like those pictures with guys flipping the bird is because for the main part I never really used language like that in front of my parents (although pissed off in my opinion isn't very bad, and I find the flying bird more offensive than saying pissed off) In fact I didn't use that kind of language with my friends as a teenager either, and I don't usually use a lot of it now. Actually neither of my parents cussed much either when I was growing up.

Regardless of whether one finds shooting the finger offensive or not I think it can be pretty much said that it's more of a "get lost" gesture than a "come hither" one.

It's all a matter of perception. People don't hire for a mired of reason, too fat, too skinny, too thuggish, too black, too white, too muscular, too old, too young, too many tattoos, too many grammatical errors in their ad, the reviews are bad, the reviews are too good to be true, he smokes, he lists PNP, he's too effeminate, he's too masculine, he's bi-sexual, he's straight, he barebacks, he lists safe but did a bareback video...the list goes on and on....soooo if flipping the finger bothers you, then move on. Pretty simple really. Young guys flip the bird in jest at each other all the time, it's what they do now, like the black guy that uses the "N" word to his friends. Everything doesn't mean the same to everyone.

And FWIW, people thought 'rock-n-roll' was pretty disgusting, and shocking at one time also, and they thought it would ruin an entire generation, and look how that turned out...........OK OK they were right about that....maybe that was a bad example. :D
