I had the opposite occurrence. I hired and escort and after a notably hot encounter, we went out for dinner. As we were getting ready to leave, he asked me if I would like his autograph. I was taken aback and laughed and asked: Why would I want your autograph? He then told me that he was rather a famous porn actor and that most of his clients were fans or knew him though his work. He then offered to give me a signed copy of one of his movies. I took it to be courteous but quite frankly, it was a bit awkward.

Too funny!!! Just think of it as a nice souvenir.

A co-worker was friends in high school with porn star Blake Harper. He met up with Blake for dinner on a trip out to California, and was curious about how many people seemed to be staring at Blake. He told him "I'm kind of a minor celebrity, I do porn". The friend said he'd introduce me sometime (Blake had moved back to the area by that time), but it never came together. I was curious if it'd be awkward since I'd hire Blake with his then-boyfriend Jason Branch four or five years prior to this. Not sure if he would've remembered me.

The article was in response from one of the tabloids claiming that Brad Pitt hired a former Falcon exclusive from its site years ago. They simply asked a few current advertisers what they would do.

Brad Pitt is bi? I was totally wrong about him then. I thought he was gay.

When I worked in another city, a famous person was a friend. He told me that many people like himself had credit cards and identification under a pseudonym. All his reservations were always made under that name. When he hired escorts, he always hid his identity. He said only a few times did a guy he hired start asking probing, leading questions. His standard reply was, never missing a beat, saying "yeah, I get taken for him from time to time" and laughed it off .... and never hired the guy again!

A story is told that over the years, Queen Elizabeth and her husband go out incognito, with security far behind.. She got recognized by the lady selling tickets to a play. She said the same thing, adding: I think I am prettier than her!

I saw her the other night on Broadway signing autographs at some play about Helen Mirren.

I've noticed that when you recognize celebrities when they're out and about, they're very aware that they've been recognized.

Celebrities don't interest me that much, so I don't check them out particularly, but when I do recognize them there is always a moment of direct eye contact, they don't look away like average people. Nothing is said, not even a nod, they they go their way and I go mine. It's interesting, it's always the same.

Some of them grimace if your gaze lingers just a bit longer than it might with a civilian. This happened one evening when I spotted Dick Cavett in theaterland. There are monasteries for shy people.

I've found that a simple nod and smiles goes a long way. Treat them they way that you would want to be treated.

I don't expect total strangers passing me on the street to do anything special to acknowledge me.

I surmise the answer is dependent upon how one defines "celebrity". Actors are not, by definition, "celebrities", in my book; they are "theatre people", and, in my grandmother's day their place was on the stage, not in one's home.
