I am going to work to San Jose Costa Rica for 3 weeks this summer, and while browsing for some possible fun, I found this place.

 

The kind of "companions" pictured are not exactly my cup of tea, but I was curious to know if someone knows more about this place?...

This is interesting, to say the least! Unfortunately, I'm not aware of this venue; do a bing.com and/or goggle.com check. Interesting to say the least. Looks expensive. I took a tour of Costa Rica and liked it a lot as a country. Didn't see any potential for action. So this place is a high class resort/bordello it would seem. Quite a concept.

I am pretty certain that this place (possibly under a different name) has been discussed here before, but I can't find it.

 

A couple of observations:

 

Offering sex for sale by an individual is legal in CR; pimping and/or running a house of prostitution is NOT.

 

There are lots of gorgeous Costa Rican men, many of whom are also delightful guys; I have never seen any of those offering their services. (And only one of the young men pictured at the OP's original link is in any way attractive to me.)

 

Because of its leniency and general open-mindedness about sex, CR has been having trouble with sex trafficking and related ills ... particularly sex with minors, which is REALLY illegal. Get caught with a minor and you could be in serious trouble. My sense is that a crackdown on a place like this could come unexpectedly.

 

There are MANY other reasons to visit Costa Rica. It is a beautiful and friendly place.

 

My advice? Take your favorite escort with you when you go there, and if you really want to pick up some more excitement, cruise the gay bars in San Jose and/or in places like Manuel Antonio/Quepos with your chosen companion to see if you can find some extra fun.

I am actually quite excited to spend almost 4 weeks there, I heard it's a beautiful Country. Definitely will NOT bring any favorite escort with me for 4 weeks haha.

 

I am pretty sure I will find some hot men there, hopefully mostly for free, but if it's worthy also for pay, I will try to see where they offer services mostly, I guess planetromeo?...

I will never be caught having sex with a minor as I like men over 30,35....

I remember seeing seeing an ad for it several years ago, or at least for somewhere very similar.

 

There was also a place in Nicaragua run by two guys with a similar business model. It was shut down by the government; unclear whether that was because they were morally offensive, or because they owned land wanted by a wealthy and influential developer.

This place was discussed on this forum in May 2011. You can find it by putting Costa Rica in search. Read it for your self. The thread seemed to go nowhere. It was conceded that it was way overpriced and opinions about the about the place differed.

San Jose is by no means a bad city--just not particularly interesting. Don't know about the gay life there. The real attractions of Costa Rica are the mountains and the coasts--amazing wildlife, lovely well educated people enjoying a comfortable life style. Easily the most prosperous and enlightened country in Central America.

I spent last summer 4 weeks working in San Jose. Not the most beautiful or interesting latin american city definitely! I met a few hot guys online, the only problem being that to have them coming to my hotel was problematic. Nevertheless they have amazing motels, totally private, where you can go by car and for $20-30 u book a room with private bathroom (and jacuzzi and mirrors blah blah) for a few hours and bring yr date.

+1 million. Costa Rica is not San Jose, not by a mile. My favorite place is Manuel Antonio State Park.
