In LA at Adonis you don't have to tip them generously at first. You can either ask during a lap dance or even outside just chatting them up. I did the same when I lived in NYC and had no issues doing privates with a fair number of the guys. I also did the same in Montreal and had no issues with it. I've never had a refusal from any guy that I've approached come to think of it.

Same experience here. In fact, I think it is very rare that a dancer will say no to a private. But.... and this is a big but.... what they will do in the private is another matter. That's why the second part of Chris's "guideline" is the most important part: "If it's yes, spell out what you want/expect to occur clearly, negotiate that first..." As Chris noted, many of these guys are straight, so they may have a lot of limitations.

UPDATE/CORRECTION: These are Bigvalboy guidelines -- not Chris!!

You must tip generously first, ;) then....I simply say, "Do you ever work off the property"...believe me, they will be use to that sort of question, and the answer will either be an affirmative yes or no. They will not hesitate. If it's yes, spell out what you want/expect to occur, clearly, negotiate that first, then simply discuss Price, time, location. FYI...for price, I always offer the going rate of a professional escort. Do this all while doing a private dance, so that there is discretion. Most these guys are straight and leave this dancing world behind at last call. Respect that.

That's always been my approach too. The only addition I have is that some guys will hedge initially, but after a few times in the back room and they know and trust you, their answer will change to yes.

The rule in NYC for ANY place with gay male dancers, is that a $ 20 bill is an invitation that say's: "there's more where that came from". If they don't escort, you get a quick smile and a wink...if they do escort they will generally plunge themselves off the bar ( go-go boys) to talk to you....or be quick to seek you out after their routine at a strip club or other dance revue.

That's just all too much for me to deal with. I don't like idle chit chat , pressure or negotiation.. I prefer just going thru their "look books", finding the one with the biggest, juiciest cock, and pointing to it and saying "bring me THAT one " !

LOL ! Then RENTMEN is your best bet, if you eschew conversation in your search for a bit of superficial human contact.

I've been to Campus and Stock in Montreal, where dancers do their thing on the stage, stripping during the first song and then dancing naked in the second, often with a full hardon. When not on stage, they go around offering private dances which are $20 a song and touching (but nothing more) is allowed.

I am wondering about strip clubs in NYC, is there anything beyond Adonis, and what are the usual practices there? Is it similar to Montreal? Are private dances done in the back and in separate little booths, is it $20 a song, what are the limits?

Interestingly, I never really felt like exploring clubs in Chicago, might do that one day, has anyone been?

Actually Swinging Richards club in Atlanta is a real fun too. I thought it would be a boring visit for me (normally I don't like clubs at all) , but it was FUN-FUN! Highly recommended
