Is it me, or are all the cities on all the ad sites getting more and more crowded? Are all these ads on Rentboy, Rentmen, and M4RN actually active? They must be on Rentboy, because your ad falls off upon expiration. But what the hell?? Where all these new heauxxx coming from?

Heauxxx! :) Take note, Steven Kesslar, another title for you to own up to from one of the best courtesans around! (Sorry to veer off your topic, Devon!)

Please return to answering Mr. Hunter's enquiry about exploding numbers of escorts/advertisers on RentBoy!

I know for Seattle that a lot of inactive ads that seemed to be around for years on M4RN have finally dropped of.

You should come back to the PNW Devon, the selection of escorts in Seattle ain't what it used to be.

There's a reason why... not enough clients.

Maybe you should offer an escort an overnight or something for him to go to the Seattle area?

OK. At 2:35 PM on 5/26, there were a combined total of 28 ads on RB, RM, and M4RN for Charlotte, NC. I didn't check to see how many were duplicates (ie:same guy, multiple sites). But, from my experience, that's about average. FYI: I went to each site's homepage and searched Charlotte, NC. Just to be fair.

Yes, but Charlotte SUCKS. There's a reason I'm on the road constantly and that most guys come here one time and never return (which is why I just smile to myself and say nothing when I say hello, and they talk about how busy they are here... Mhm... yes, girl. Make your Charlotte coins). LOL LOL LOL

I mentioned Seattle in another thread that it seems many have dropped off. I'm curious as to how it may have gotten to the number it was. I've only been once years ago, I wasn't thrilled. But, I've considered taking another visit.

if it's true that markets change, it could be a good thing. For example, as I've also mentioned before, Denver used to be okay...once a seemingly growing progressive town, not much ethnicity. ever since rec marijuana use was passed couple years ago, the market has gone straight to the dumpster, along with the clients who call and the ads that are blowing up. Nothing but a bunch of trash bags. I learned to be quick and to the point with these idiots. I ask 4 questions, and then we need to exchange an address. If they can't do that, they want to faff around, ask stupid questions, change the appointment from today to next week...all I have to do is press one button and their existence is blocked from my life forever.

Sometimws I wonder if I'm wasting my money on sites like rentboy, men4rent, etc. I paid for 2 upgrades thru rentboy but didn't get shit but cheque scam emails, and emails from clients who were in other areas. I might just stop advertising locally and only use it when traveling. My regulars know where to find me, there's not even much in the way of new clients in my town. At this point, I already know I plan to leave the market I'm at. I've said it before, but it's getting ridiculous. It's just futile to keep staying in a dumpy, piece of shit market paying rent every month, only to be miserable and deal with a bunch of bullcrap all week.

And I just want to say a word about men4rent. Let's just be clear. Men4rent is a stage akin to being a supernova becoming a black hole. Not only have ads dropped off, so have clients. I probably get a client locally from men4rent every 3-4 months. During travel, I may see 1 or 2 clients in an entire 2-3 week trip from the dying star. I only keep my ad up as a reference for reviews there, and the ease of being able to advertise in multiple cities, but it doesn't do much. I know one big name escort stopped using it, I know LOTS of clients who stopped using it.

Rentboy is in its red supergiant stage. Meaning it's big now, more people are advertising on it than men4rent. But it won't be long before that star goes Into supernova cycle. Maybe in a few billion hours. Some of the massage stars are quickly expanding beyond the escort stars, but I have my own reservations about those sites. Massage M4M is charging $129 A MONTH for a basic massage ad. The ads go up to $250. It's all about greed. Plus, they deleted my good reviews which really put me off from them. Masseur finder is okay, but I'm not tryin to travel 1,500 miles to give $60 massages, then have to do 50 of them to make a profit.

Rent men is just leaving the stellar nursery. Hourboy is a black dwarf , backpage is a white dwarf. Adam4adam is a black hole. For obvious reasons. We all know it used to be the red supergiant, but that shit just sucks. Like a black hole.

Devon I think in some cities yes the market has grown, Chicago MRN has declined but I think their policy changes regarding what you can say and not say has a lot to do with it. I find it funny that an "Escort" site would be so damn worried about what you say. However they still are a popular site for multiple city postings. Rentboy ads have grown if not almost doubled. When I look back, non-IML or Market Street Days would have about 45-50 regulars, now at least 80-85 regular postings and balloons to 115-120 during IML and Market Street Days.

Mocha you know I think you have the right analogy just the wrong subject, not cities or websites but gentlemen. Maybe your issue is you have reached the black dwarf stage. This happens and sometimes you just have to move on to a new course in life. Good luck on whatever new city you decide to move to.

Well then you could say the same for Devon in Charlotte. He just described it that way. If that is the analogy you're alluding to. But, i recently had 3 overnights in 1 trip over 3 days. So you really can't believe I'm going to buy your interpretation of this very real message I'm sending out.

However, I think my analogy is proper based on evidence I have to back up the planetary cyber theory. From not just my observations but the ones from others. Reason why Adam is where it is, is there are more GPS based app websites. Even the older guys have turned to these type of sites. I believe too, clients who would have nor Normally contacted me from men4rent, have been on sites like grinder. How do I know that? I've gone to appointments where grinder was on when I walked in, I've met potential clients from grindr, and many people in the gay scene can no longer be found on Adam, but the app based websites.

Websites can be like gay bars. The same gay bar that was popping 4 years ago might not be popping any more. So, a guy not having success at one gay bar doesn't mean he's ugly. It could just be the scene is not happening there. And sometimes yes, the bar may not be productive, and maybe the whole town may not be happening.

The most important part is, if a guy can afford to advertise on as many sites as possible, they'll do good for themselves. I still get clients from every site I advertise, even the free craigslist ads.
