I didn't expect sympathy but I didn't expect attacks either. The guy, or someone, stole all the towels, sheets, pillows, blanket, etc. They only charged me $50 whuch was surprisingly low. Why am I worried about a police report? Start with wife, kids, job, etc in a small conservative southern city where my name would make headlines. Yeah I'm worried. But yeah, it's my own fault, and yeah I could have prevented this. That's why I am posting.

I'm sure a lot of guys on here have done mistakes similar to what you did

I, too, am sorry this happened to you. Look at it this way, you learned a lesson which didn't wind up to be too costly.

Several years ago (I wrote about it here), I saw a guy in a hotel, and during our appointment an accomplice swiped one of my credit cards from my wallet, and took note of the number on others. When I left, I noticed the card I used the most was missing. I know I didn't leave it at home, so I immediately called the credit card company to report it lost. It wasn't until a few days later when one of my bank accounts was drained and several charges were rung up in Atlanta (the guy happened to be from Atlanta). I still remember the feeling of having all the blood drain from my face when I saw my bank account was less than $100. He even paid his rent using my debit card. I reported it to the police, but although I had the name of the management company the rent was paid to, the guy was never apprehended. Thankfully the bank and credit cards credited all the amounts back to me.

I don't hire as much as I was then, but I take all of my cards out of my wallet when I decide to see someone at their hotel. I also put flags on all my cards so that I'm notified when my bank account falls to a certain level, and I'm notified of every charge over $25 on my credit card.

So while it seems like only yesterday it was in 2008, New Orleans; a place I will never return. Where

a so called "escort" that I met at Bourbon St Bar was not such and after a long drama experience

where I was driven around, hit, money taken and finally tossed out of the car (very embarrassingly)

I was able to get back to NO downtown to my hotel. What I'm trying to say is sometimes we make

stupid mistakes; we think the best of people and alas it isn't always true. If it wasn't craigslist, or men for rent or adam for adam or even here; we all could have a bad experience. Did I learn, you bet. Do I sometimes get horny and like to play a little more adventurous, absolutely but with someone knowing what I'm doing.

Sorry this happened but, you got off cheap and then got off cheap again.

I went to a local brothel in Mexico, Chilly Willy's outside of Cancun. I hired a young lady, you may substitute young man if that makes the story more palatable but it was a young lady. The cost was $65 for an hour. I was very sure to insure that it was for an hour. Being a frugal and horny guy, I thought, well I will go in for a slam bam thank you ma'am and then with the remaining time, head for round 2. This particular aspect has come up in another thread in that thread people questioned whether you hire for a time period or one time, period. Well, when I finished, the young lady jumped up out of bed and refused to return to the bed. We began to argue, me in my passable Spanish, yelling "Una hora es una hora, una vez es una vez. Pago por una hora" An hour is an hour. One time is one time. I paid for an hour. When she ran out, naked, I became infuriated and stuffed her clothes in the toilet. (Alcohol may have been involved in this incident) Santa Ana's army of soldiers came running in and we again started arguing. My una hora argument, being my main thrust, as it were. Meanwhile, they were attempting to escort me out of the establishment. At this point, the young lady noticed her clothes in the toilet, ran over the retrieve them and as she did, my wallet fell out of her clothing. She must have been a very adept pickpocket as she got me and my wallet out of my pants at the same time. I grabbed my now saturated wallet and began protesting that I would call the police. Santa Ana screamed out in his less than passable English: You threw yer clothes in the shit. and then Santa Ana yelled: "Charge" and his army advanced on me and considering the goings on, escorted me more politely than you would imagine, out of the brothel to my waiting taxi.

So, I got off cheap and then got off cheap again but I did not get off a second time, which annoys me to this day.

Chalk this up to experience. Just be sure to learn from it. I have been hiring since the '80s and in that time I have been held with a knife at my throat, robbed in my car, and one young man who found a business card on my dresser appeared at my office (wearing cut offs and a wife beater) "asking" for an advance on our next session ( which never happened). Today I observe a few rules. Always pay in cash. Never bring your wallet. Always speak to them on the phone. I have even been known to call a friend who also hires to tell him I am going out and leave him the address of my visit. I have used this site to find many nice guys. However, sometimes you need try someone un-reviewed. When I first saw Tristan Baldwin he had no reviews here. I put a post on Craig's list in 2006 looking for someone to do a particular activity. The guy who responded was beyond handsome, had a PhD, and was a high level exec at a major enterprise. I saw him for 6 years, always paid him (even though I'm sure he didn't need the money). I used to call him my "Belle de Jour". To quote " Risky Business" - " Sometimes you've just got to say What the Fuck"

"Is the assumption here that the escort took the key off the desk when you weren't looking, then after you both left the motel, he came back to the motel to steal towels and bed sheets? It seems so strange. I would actually be more suspicious of the motel's story."

That's the only thing I can figure out, but I am not one to accuse with no real proof. The motel is pretty bad, but I can't see them fabricating something for $50. I realized I'd left the key when I was driving home. I considered asking the motel to change the code but did not turn aroun

Sorry about what happened to you OP. Again, make sure any motel charge does not come out on your statement. I would cancel the card if I necessary. If asked why you cancelled it, you're tired of carrying a balance or the rewards are not worth it. Change the online banking password.

Since you mentioned you live in a small conservative southern city and not out, I would suggest hiring only when you are away. Whether or not you hire a well-known escort, hire only from legit escort sites.

You're not in a big mess, "no one" knows about this. But clean up your trail and charge this to experience. You'll have a far better ending on your next hire, good luck.

so the motel called you the day after the hookup? when did you officially check out of the room? Was it the same night of the hookup or the next morning? Did you go to the front desk and check out in person? If you checked out in person at the front desk, then when you checked out, the room key you had should have been deactivated, so it would no longer open the door.. Thereby meaning that your amateur escort would not have been able to enter the room to steal anything. Now, if you simply left the room without actually checking out in person, then the key card would be active until "official" check out time, (11am or whatever) which means the amateur escort could have returned sometime between your departure and that checkout time.

My point would be to always make sure to check out at the front desk to ensure that any keycards are deactivated.

He wasn't an escort, he was a young guy contacted by an older generous$ guy.

I can't see the motel fabricating something for $50, but I also can't imagine a US citizen grabbing a key on the way out of the motel's room to come back, grab the towels and bed sheets for his own use of to sell them on ebay??? I'm sure they weren't made out of Egyptian linen.

Talking about been cheap!

Sounds like an Agatha Christie movie!

Slavery was the main reason why Texans hated the authority of the Mexican government.

I think the UNA HORA argument only applies to gentlemen... stuffing a girls clothes in the toilet is not a gentleman's behavior. I'm sure you were already old enough not to be a frat boy... Grabbing your wallet? That sounds like the times when "Times Square" was called "Crimes Square".

Never going back to New Orleans? The horror! They could throw me from a Mardi Gras float and I'd still be back. Gawd I could eat that city out.

Thank you for bringing that fact back into focus. Seems like more than a few posters forgot that.

...I can't see the motel fabricating something for $50......

I can see where a motel operator would fabricate such a story to wring an extra $50 out of a guy who rented a room at the last minute. Doubtful that a Days Inn, Motel 6, Comfort Inn would do so (a quick call to Corporate would have the franchisee doing some 'splainin) but I can see an independent no-tell motel doing something like that. They probably aren't very concerned about their Trip Advisor or Yelp ratings.

... I also can't imagine a US citizen grabbing a key on the way out of the motel's room to come back, grab the towels and bed sheets for his own use of to sell them on ebay??? ...

I can't imagine anyone, citizen or otherwise, doing that nor can I imagine someone buying the (and I am using the term loosely) "linens" on eBay. Dollar Tree sells better towels and even the cheapest sheets at Big Lots, Walmart, or Target would be better and cheaper.

On second thought (and I am not being facetious here) I could see someone selling the used sheets on Naughty Bids. I once sold a quart of leftover piss from a watersports session for over $100. Still remember the look on my buddy's face when I kept peeling off bills as I handed him his share of the proceeds. That was before they prohibited the sale of used condoms and such.

naughtybids.... I've never heard of that website!

If the amateur guy who prostituted himself should figure it out he could make more money just by escorting.

The OP needs to tell if at least the sex and the bargain he got (genero$ity + motel+ 50 for extra charges=IDK) was worth it hiring an amateur and not a professional escort.

I suspect the motel would have charged more than $50 in that case. :)
