This has been an interesting thread to me, hearing the varying degrees of satisfaction with companions who are well reviewed vs. relative "unknowns"

 

If anything I think that good reviews demonstrate consistency and perhaps statistically increasing likelihood of a successful outcome?

 

I'd imagine the personalities of both the escort and client, the subtle interactions and chemistry play into the experience for both people. If the two just seem to develop a natural rapport quickly, it would seem logical that this would enhance the experience.

 

Sometimes you can put two people together who are great standalone individuals and yet for whatever reason they don't mesh; compatibility, if even for a short period, can be a symphony, a dichotomy or anywhere in between.

I concur with most everyone's response here. Quality, Amazing, Satisfactory...etc... all very, very subjective words. It truly is all about chemistry... but mostly... like most things in life... it comes down to RESPECT.

 

How I work as an escort... the psychological aspect... I find one or two things about my partner that I like/love. Hair, eyes, skin, smile, charm, kindness, shyness, laugh... something. Every single person has wonderful attributes about them. This helps me create an instant connection. Secondly, I get aroused and excited by knowing I am pleasing someone and making them feel good.

 

So what happens when a client comes in and brings to the table really super hard obstacles to surmount? I'm not talking about personal appearance or age. Those are not problems for me at all... What if the client has uncontrollable Halitosis or Body Odor... like super super bad... but he LOVES kissing. What am I to do? What if a client loves to treat me like a whore and is bossy and tells me every 5 seconds what to do and how to do it? What am I to do? What if I am with a client that has zero communication skills (for whatever reason... just strange, intimidation, shyness)... What am I to do? What if a client loves to just rim and rim and rim.. but his short stubbly little goatee is literally rubbing me raw... should I just let him? What should I do? What if a client wants me to do something that I just can't or don't want to do... cumming sometimes, pissing, etc.etc..etc... All of these examples have happened to me. I suspect many of these clients felt I gave them just a satisfactory, just ok, meh experience.

 

What I am going to do is do the best I can and still give 110%. Bu these clients are not being RESPECTFUL of me... as an escort.. as a lover.. as person. Be clean, be kind, be respectful. I'm not a robot... I'm not a mindreader... and I respect myself. I'm not perfect, I have off days sometimes, I'm human. I come to the table as best as I possibly can be... the client has the same responsibility to come to the table... clean, with an open mind to have fun, and kindness. Yes this is a business transaction, but we are both still human beings with feelings and both of us want an amazing fun experience. We should both strive for such.

 

Alec's post may not actually address the OP's question about high expectations from great reviews causing disappointment but it is a very insightful group of thoughts expressed by an excellent professional. I have always found RESPECT to be the key in my hiring experiences and I certainly do respect Alec as one of the very best!

I'm inclined to agree with those who see the reviews as a guide, but not a guarantee. It took me a year of hiring to see them that way--a year of finding good reviews to be a very dependable indicator of what I could expect--then I had my first weird experience (not bad, exactly, just weird ... manic is the word that best describes it) with a fellow who has more reviews than anyone else I've ever hired.

 

Since then I've had my one and only absolutely awful experience with a well-reviewed guy ... and a good experience with the only unreviewed man I've hired.

 

The bad experience was with a fellow one of my Forum friends greatly enjoyed (and reviewed) ... the same Forum friend who made his one and only early exit from a session with a very well-reviewed guy who gave me two of the best hours I've ever spent in bed. You know what they say ... experiences may vary.

Over the last 8 months I have hired 4 escorts in different locales that have very good reviews. My experiences did not match the good reviews. All were mediocre at best. For the $$($), my expectations were high. OK, so you would think there is something wrong with you, the client.

 

But non-reviewed or seldom reviewed escorts I have hired in the same period exceeded my expectations and are normally (not always) less expensive. Do escorts coast on clients they perceive as one time only (out of town for example) or am I just getting these guys on bad days? Or do they rely on good reviews generating business? Or are the client reviews written with glowing prose if they have not had sex in a while? I know I have done that at least once. He is still well reviewed.

 

Maybe when writing reviews, clients should pay more attention to “recommend” or “satisfactory”. I am hesitant to select the last description and often don’t submit a review on those escorts. I wonder if other forum members feel the same way.

 

It's probably best to ask for reviewd from individuals on here in a PM. While I'm new to being active on this site I have already found this method to be helpful in sending good clients to good escorts and vice versa. Feel free to PM me for recommendations anytime!

From what I read in this thread, I guess sometimes you can't win for winning: Some people choose the here-today-gone-tomorrow A4A and Backpage Escorts in part because they haven't been significantly-vetted and dismiss guys like me because we're too vetted!

That's not the impression I have gained from reading this forum often (perhaps more often than is healthy), Rod. There are some who are risk takers and fly by the seat of their pants and hire untested escorts from where-ever, but most commenters seem to want their escorts to have been reviewed and even flinch if the reviewers have only one write-up to their credit.

Mike, you misunderstand. That's what I took away about SOME men from THIS thread only. Not the forum itself :-) The forum and the website and the vast majority of client and escort contributors are of course dedicated to thorough escort vetting.
