Brazil trip, hire local or take one with me?

I am in the early stages of planning a trip to Brazil, and would like to have company with me while there. It would be nice to take an escort I know, but as I look at the total expense it would cost me, I am questioning if it would be better to go alone and hire a local boy while I am there. I have done some research and with the exchange rate being what it is, I would get more bang for my buck if I hired a loacl guy for 3 days. I know this could be tricky, but hiring someone like Bruno who is well reviewed and his 3 day rate isn't bad, I would come out ahead hiring him as opposed to bringing an american escort with me.

I am sure there are several guys here who have done travel like this before and I was curious what your experience has been. I would like to gather as much information before I make final plans. Thanks

I would strongly recommend carrying on this discussion in the Escorts South of the U.S.A. board, where the topic really belongs. However, to answer your question briefly, Brazil is NOT a destination where I would bring a U.S. escort. That would truly be taking coals to Newcastle! Part of the delight of a vacation to Brazil is the opportunity to interact with local men in the most personal ways possible. Bringing an escort with you makes sense if you're going to a small country, like one of the Caribbean islands where the populations aren't large but the homophobia is. Doing that on a trip to Brazil or Argentina will not only be much more expensive than hiring locally (as you've already pointed out) but will deprive you of the chance to really get to know locals and experience what makes people there different from the guys you know at home.

 

There are plenty of well-reviewed escorts in Brazil, and you can also hire through one of the reliable agencies if saunas aren't your thing. All the info you need to plan your trip is on the Escorts South board (and in the FAQ you'll find there).

Before we talk about Brazil, did you ever post the "no show" review on the escort whom we discussed at length on this site last month?

If not, I would be interested to know if you posted a good review.

 

As to Brazil, I am not the expert that many others are, but the idea of bringing an American escort to Rio seems to miss the whole point of Rio where you can meet a variety of new and interesting men for a small fraction of what you are paying an American escort to travel

with you. Many are not aware that there is a whole section on escorts

in Europe, South American as you scroll down the message center menu.

I understand your dilemma. I was just in Brazil and ended up hiring a local boy for over a week. I had a blast with him and loved the time I spent with him. In fact, I'll be taking him on a trip overseas when I can make the arrangements.

 

I would also disagree with the other posters though. I think taking an escort you know from the US would be a fun experience. I love traveling with a few boys and have even broached the subject with a boy or two about going to Brazil with me this year. But, I also have the philosophy, the more the merrier. If you are not the jealous type and you will make sure your escort has as much fun as you do at the saunas and with the beautiful Brazilian men, I think taking someone along could be a fantastic experience.

 

I think a cute US boy is great "bait" for the guys as well. At least this is often my experience. When in Montreal, I have sometimes had 2-3 boys with me and I can tell you for sure that I enjoy the experience more with more guys with me. It is not uncommon for our group of 3-4 to double. i think Oz's idea of taking your own boy is useful ONLY if money is absolutely of no concern whatever. If it is - I say follow Tri's advice.

 

There are so many absolutely handsome escorts in all of the cities of Brazil that I have visited. I am half time in the US and half time in Rio and my difficult period is the return home and the inability of the Brazilian escorts to come here due to visa difficulty.

 

If blondes are your thing - you may be a little dissapointed in Brazils scene - they exist but they are not really plentiful. Other than that - all types abound.

ONLY is a strong word! Money is always part of the equation. I wish I had unlimited money, but I don't. For every trip I take, it is always a consideration but not the ONLY consideration. If I were going somewhere for the first time, I may feel more comfortable with one or two others with me. Or, if I feel really comfortable with someone, I may even take them as a treat for making me so happy. Or, perhaps I just want to splurge and make this my trip of a lifetime or one that I want to share with someone I will keep in contact with.

 

I don't disagree with your entire statement as I do think there are plenty of beautiful boys in Brazil and one doesn't really need to take another escort along to have a great trip. But, there are also good reasons that one should consider it.

 

Also, one of the boys I approached to go with me to Brazil this year is Latin. He isn't blond. Although, the idea of taking a blond with me now turns me on too. Thanks for that idea!

 

I would just say that each person that goes to Brazil should have a great time. I don't think taking someone along is a good idea for everyone. But, I think that if someone is interested in it and they can afford it, they should consider it.

I had never hired an escort for more than a day or so until I went to RIO last October. One of my goals was to see if I could be comfortable spending an extended period of time with one guy. I met several great young men in RIO and managed to snag one of the best ones who spent over a week with me. I had a wonderful time and I agree with the guys who have recommended waiting until you get there to decide. It's true that travel with a familar escort/friend can be fun I am sure. But, When visiting a place like RIO, I would think the local menu more than fills the bill.
