I'm very much looking forward to participating in my first Daddy's Forum meetup event. (Thanks to Oliver!) I'll also be in town for a day or so on either side of the traditional dinner/poolparty festivities. (I'll have to miss the dinner, sadly.)

Thought I might post this thread as a way to connect and brainstorm with those who'll be in town that weekend. And please feel free to PM me if you'd like to say hey.

Two specific things I'm wondering about:

  • I'm thinking of seeing a dinnertime show on Friday. PM me if you might want to meet up, or if you've got other things brewing.

  • I'm also curious about gyms in town. I'm no gym bunny but try to maintain my basic cardio/weight routine when I'm on the road. I've looked at the websites for WorkOUT and World Gym (which is closer to where I'll be staying). Both seem to have very civilized short-term membership policies but I would definitely welcome anyone's informed opinions or recommendations.

So excited to meet everyone.

if anybody is up for some medium- /medium-tough-level hiking or some four-wheeling during the weekend (Sat mid-afternoon to Monday noon), PM me or post here in the thread....except, of course, during the dinner and pool party.....

I don't have any personal experience with WorkOUT, but I've not heard anything negative. I belong to World Gym, and I'm no gym bunny either, but I recommend it. During the day, it can be quite social, but not intimaditing, and if you're interested in working out almost by yourself, go about 8 pm, you'll have the place mostly to yourself. Feel free to PM me if you want more details.

  • 4 weeks later...

Thanks for the gym info. I think Ill check out World Gym since it's pretty close to where I am staying. I arrive on Thursday and depart Monday, so if any members are up for dinner, drinks, show, or outdoor activities other than the scheduled Saturday dinner and Sunday pool party, PM me or post here

Ryan,

Another vote for the World Gym. Every time I visit Palm Springs, I buy a day pass for the World Gym: lots of space and machines, high ceiling, plenty of eye-candy. It's not unusual to bump into a porn star while working out. Enjoy and see you all in Palm Springs this weekend.

Just got back from my first workout at World Gym.

Easygoing, fully equipped & accessible, little attitude, and just enough eye-candy to keep things entertaining.

Thanks for the recommendation, gents. It's much appreciated.
