Enough about the rules on this site. Rush is opening in a romantic comedy in Philly called "My Boyfriend the Stripper" next Thursday night for two weeks. Has anyone ever actually seen Rush act on stage, especially in a comedy about falling in love? He has always been wooden in Falcon video -- sometimes wooden throughout his entire scene. Ironically, "My Boyfriend the Stripper" is opening the same night Bette Midler is playing Philly. Which to choose?

Please tell me you're joking.

Though I agree with everything you say about his 'acting' in Falcon.. I have always had a bit of a problem expecting that any porn star should act in porn anyway. I've never seen or heard of what how he does on stage but I'd be hesitant to predict his stage acting based on his porn performance. In porn you need to get your dick hard or your ass relaxed and cum. If too much acting goes on in a porn.. I really don't like the movie anyway lol. On stage you don't have to worry about that so much :-P, so you can actually concentrate on the character you're playing.

Even so if Bette Midler was playing the same city as 'My Boyfriend the Stripper' I think I'd be insulting Ms M if I even described the situation as a 'choice.' :-P

I saw the Bette Midler Show, "Kiss My Brass". It's outragious! You shouldn't miss it...especially if you can see the other show a different night! Bette was GREAT!

Having seen him on stage at the Stonewall Bar, I would say he is a natural! Sure, I would pay to see him. Couldn't be any worse than Jeff Stryker!

I can't remember the name of the movie... but the all time most fun I've ever had watching porn was with a bunch of my friends laughing untill we could hardly breathe while Jeff was fucking Kevin Kramer and kept saying "I'm going to educate that fucking hole boy" "open up that hole for me boy" " I'm going to give that ass an education"

LOL

(not that I don't like dirty talk.... but if you've ever seen this scene HAHAHAHAHAHAA)

I saw him at a stage play in San Diego last year. It was a small theater. I believe the name of the play was "Making Porn." Not much on the acting but then again, I couldn't concentrate because he and the other gorgeous actors were naked most of the time. All I can say is double WOOF! It was worth the $35.00 admission price.

Since Matthew's one of my best friends, I very rarely see any of his video work anymore. Unless I go see a client and they have one of his videos playing, it's just too weird.

I do know that he really enjoys doing the plays. I helped him with his lines for Making Porn, which he'll be doing in Fort Lauderdale next month. He's a natural entertainer, loves to laugh and make others laugh also. I hope to make it to Philly later this month or down to Lauderdale next month to see him onstage.

None of Ronnie Larsen's plays are exactly Shakespeare. There isn't a lot of dramatic skill required. :9 But they ARE generally quite a bit of fun, no matter who's in 'em.

Matt has done this one before (Boston & Atlanta, I believe) so he must have been successful or they wouldn't have him back.

I'm not sure I'd go the first night, though. Unless all the cast are repeats (which generally isn't the case), it takes 3 or 4 performances before they get the kinks worked out.

I saw Matthew Rush act. He's really quite good. A subtle, nuanced performance, with great stage presence and a good command of the material.

Perhaps the performance I saw was a severely "off" night for him, but neither subtlety nor nuance existed on that stage. Because he is such an attractive man and such a pleasant individual in person, I would like to praise his performance but simply can't.

...and he gets hard and thick! Are these good qualities in an actor? Probably ok, as long as he isn't wooden!!:) :p

RE: Matthew Rush, pictures

The thing that kills me is that no camera does him justice. As good as he looks on film/in print, it doesn't hold a candle to the real thing. In person, he almost glows.

I wish they'd let him smile more. It lights up the world.

RE: Matthew Rush, Performer in New York

On Sunday night (the 11th) Mr. Rush is scheduled to appear at SBNY around midnight. (That usually means 1 a.m.)

He sure was entertaining when I saw him at Stonewall Bar a year or so ago.
