Santa Barbara suggestions

I'll be going down to Santa Barbara for the holidays. We've already got the hotel booked, but any suggestions for restaurants, bars, things to do? Any suggestions much appreciated!

Alice Keck Park

Lotusland

Joe's, State and Cota, is an institution. Great burgers, sassy older waitresses, moderate prices.

A walk on the pier late at night to see the ocean and the sky.

I'm sorry I missed Joe's but can report I got to the Mission as well as Alice Keck Park. Weather was fantastic all around, in the 60s so not hot but warm enough to be out and about. Best part was how sparkling clear it was... from the beaches could see right across to the Channel Islands. I'd never seen them so clearly.

 

We stayed at the local Kimpton hotel, called the Canary. Very nice room, great roof deck, located downtown so walkable to tons of great restaurants. I had my dogs with me and they were made very welcome.
