On a more practical note, BP seems to have a higher concentration of FLAKES and on-again-off-again guys.

 

I can't tell from my own experience whether the proportion of FAKES is higher in BP, both because there seem to be plenty of those on RB, and because, although I have tried to contact (via email) more than half a dozen advertisers on BP, not one has responded!

I tend to think that if Middleton is on the "Rentboy" level, then that idiotic Kardashian chick is more on the level of paying for tearoom sex in a port-a-potty.

 

But anyway...

 

I tend to browse both sites, along with Rentmen and also Hourboy (though I think not much goes on there, at least in Boston). I tend to "trust" the two "Rent" sites more. Occasionally you'll find some guys that have regular ads on Rentboy also throwing up an ad on Backpage, but it seems that backpage (again, at least in Boston) is much more about the thugs and a lot of (often dubious) travelers/first-timers etc, just as Shadowcat said. And also, as he said, even the "better" sites don't come with guarantees. And each site has its pros and cons with layout/features, etc.

 

I would say when I look at Backpage it's often more for "entertainment value" - and perhaps there's a surprisingly legit-feeling ad in there among all the thugs and flakes. With Rentboy, I tend to feel it's a more "professional" site and that most of the guys are there "for real." But you never know...

Your question is "obvious!" Of course http://www.rentboy.com far exceeds the offerings that are on the two sites. For one, nude photos are not visible on http://www.backpage.com; the ads are generally very poorly written, and many of the guys of my interest are suspect to me, for they seemingly are in one area for a very, very short period of time! With that written-- rentboy is definitely the more superior of the two sites! [...could have written more but think what I wrote is sufficient!!!]

Here in St. Louis, Backpage, features mostly thugs, and mostly black. On rare occasions you have a guy who admits he's straight and doing it for the money, but not often. And most of the thugs are not around for other than a few days. As to Rentboy, rarely are there more them five or six ads, and most of those are visiting. This is why I have my go-to guy. There are a few guys on Men4rent now, who are local and legit. Enough said.
