I decided I wanted to ask this question. First of all, back in June when I first hired an escort, he actually let me take pictures of him. This was something I legit didn't think about when I hired him but since he suggested it I took a couple in the poses I wanted.

Do you let clients take pictures of you if they ask, or does it depend? The guy that I hired said that since his face was already shown in the pictures he posted on his ad, he was fine with it. Does this rule also apply with other escorts?

Sometimes and only at my discretion. I have even allowed a few clients to take personal videos. If a client walked in and was arrogant about it, then no but if I had seen someone 5 times and they asked if they could take a short video or a few pics I would most likely say yes.

It depends on the situation. Most likely if the client asks politely I'll say yes as long as they are for personal use only. Of course I've had guys videotape or discretely take pictures of a session without me knowing until later. How do I know? I found them on the web. That I don't like.

I don't let clients take pictures or videos of me under any circumstance. I am in the entertainment industry and I have made the conscious decision to be the one that is in control of my own image at all times. The rule of thumb is that is there is one image you want people to keep to themselves, that image will inevitably appear in the internet soon enough.

The only way to avoid that to happen is to simply not allow pictures taken.

Well, no, that isn't inevitable. I'm not saying you have to change your no-photo policy, but a few escorts allowed me to take photos of them for my own use (after knowing both of them for quite some time) and I've never shared those photos with anyone, much less shared them on line.

I also as a client have been allowed to take pictures of some escorts. Others will not allow it. I respect their limits either way and I never share the pic's I take for my personal collection. If I'm interested in taking pictures, I always ask the escort respectfully, and if he is ok with it, I enjoy remembering our session together with those pictures. If the escort says no or that he's uncomfortable with it, I do not ask again. As Juan states, some guys want to stay in control of any and all images of themselves out there. I will share the photos with the escort though, if he wants to see them.

I've always thought why didn't i get a picture of that guy? I always forget to ask to do it.

But I do have pics of one guy who I bought a ton of underwear for and he modeled it for me.

I asked him once if I could share it with an underwear company but he told me no. So I have

to respect that. I have never posted his pics online. He said they are for me only.

Mind Camera!

I have often thought I would love a memento type picture of my favorite guy. But, under the umbrella of anonymity, l have not entertained the indention of asking. However, my mind has a million snapshots. R.

And that's what I have of the guys who don't want their pix taken - mind snapshots! Understandably, your chosen guy likes his privacy, but in my mind I can always see his smiling face...and his other amazing aspects!

Of course you haven't!

I am sure you are a man of your word and that you have a strong firewall protecting the electronic devices in which you are keeping those images. Sadly, as Jennifer Lawrence discovered recently, computers can be hacked, people die, leaving their computers at mercy of whoever finds them, some clients are not as honourable as you, some clients get emotionally attached and in a moment of spurned pain might post images online as revenge. Some people are not savvy enough on the way to keep their files safe and might -unbeknownst to themselves- post the pictures to their instagram, Facebook flickr profiles...

As you can imagine, the opportunities of an image finding its way on to the wrong hands are endless.

You only need one image to be leaked and your image is no longer under your control.

That is a risk I simply cannot take.

Trusting a client when he says that he will not post my pictures online is like trusting anyone swearing they are negative.

Some are telling the truth, some might not. Why taking any risks?

I understand there are risks and that it would be foolish just to take everyone at his word, so I completely understand your decision. I was just addressing the notion that it's "inevitable" that someone who takes your photo will end up sharing it online by responding that I'm one example of a client who hasn't done that, and I'm sure I'm not alone. And in both cases the guys I took personal photos of didn't share have full face photos in their ads. I cannot say why those two men agreed to let me take their photos -- especially since one of them was extremely discreet about being an escort, never ran ads on the major escort websites, and didn't want me to review him because he was only escorting while in school -- but their trust in me was not misplaced. And if I die or my computer is hacked, I've got all sorts of photos of hot looking guys on my pc. Some are famous actors, some musicians, some masseurs, some escorts, some porn stars, some just random hot guys I found on line. I don't have anyone labeled with details beyond a first name.

Most of the guys I've asked have agreed to pics. If they show their face in their ads, they don't object to face pics. If they don't show their face, but will allow pics, I let them delete from my camera any pics that in their opinion show too much face.

There are many faults in this approach, for sure, fut this has been my experience.

A slightly different question- have any escorts when say on an overnight or an extended several day visit with a client ever attended an event where a photographer has been present snapping pictures of you and your client together?

Gman

Yes, a few times.

Having been in the entertainment industry my whole life you develop a strange sixth sense to feel when someone is about to take a picture of you. In most cases, celebrities then turn towards the camera, strike the pose and smile. Since most of my social clients hire me precisely because I don't post my face picture and feel relaxed and confident that nobody at the social event will be able to tell I am an escort, I know they do it because they care about their privacy. I think it is upon me to continue this privacy further, so whenever I feel that a picture of us is about to be snapped, I just turn away from the camera, in other words, shot blocking. After you do it three or four times photographers always get the hint and stop trying.
