Steven,

Thanks so much for posting. I thought at first it was a gag, but then as the video rolled on it became apparent it was for real. It is nice to see something like this at a time when almost all the news is terrible.

i know the corporation is getting a big advertising bang for their bucks but it was heartwarming to see people really surprised and delighted and thanked in a way that had individual meaning. I am and old softy anyway, and not just my stomach, so this had me choked up.

Hate to be a Debby Downer, but how does the bank know so many intimate details about the customers?

I agree - I guess some companies really do buy all that computer-cookie information.

For me, I kept hoping somebody like Jeremy Walker would come from behind the machine, grab and hug me and drag me off to some place where we could get a bit more "comfortable."

There are many innocuous ways that the people who work in the bank might know such details. It may be that there employees nominated the people who were surprised or that others did. There is not always a sinister aspect to every corporate activity, it just seems that way.
