When you log into rentboy, is there a specific order that is defaulted on how the escorts are listed? I'm in Los Angeles and always see pretty much the same order on the first few pages with a few changes. I'm just curious. And is there a way to filter "just visiting" escorts? I can be browsing on the 5th or 6th page and then i will see a visiting escort, I feel they should be on page 1!

An escort could better answer this (and one of them may), but it's my understanding that advertisers may purchase premium placement on the Rentboy site. After that, I think it's in descending order of most recently updated profiles.

There's a way.

 

Go to --> Advanced Search, then select the option ONLY SHOW visitor ads

thanks! I just tried it and lo and behold I see ads of guys who LIVE in L.A.. haha. but I can see it's usefulness in the future when someone NOT living in L.A. is on there, easier to find. THANKS!

I just tried the Advanced Search and after selecting Los Angeles, I clicked on "Vistor Ads" (the background color turned orange) and then clicked on Search.

 

The result was 26 escorts visiting Los Angeles out of 317 listed in total.

Yes i did that and got 26 escorts as well but I'm just saying some of those L.A. escorts have labeled themselves as a visitor yet they are based in L.A. Like JD Daniels, Mylo Deron, "Twoblackhungdudes". I have seen those three on L.A. searches for quite awhile now. But its exactly what I was looking for. thanks!

I wish all visiting escorts would put exact dates in their profile. (They seem to be better about this on Rentmen.) Sometimes it's hard to tell who's going to be visiting soon as opposed to who's actually in town at present, and for how long...also there seem to be escorts that visit a town frequently/occasionally but leave their ads up even when they're not there. I think it's very confusing to know who's actually available sometimes.

It has to do with what level of ad the rentboy purchases. In LA, I believe, platinum ads will always be on the first page, gold ads on pages 2 & 3, and basic ads in the back forty. There are also diamond and "power boost" ads which appear on the first page for shorter time periods. Often permanent premium slots aren't available, so escorts purchase premium "travel ads" even when they are not traveling.

and the 'in town today only' doesn't help, when the ad stays up for longer than their trip.
