I'm so jealous. I've been on good behavior and intentionally didn't write anything mean in the last absurd thread Joey started. Now I find out I missed out on getting one of these gems. Would some users please start sending me these mean PMs I keep reading about damn it?!?!

Also, instudiocity, you might look here for inspiration for your response. I love the opening: "Obviously [the cease and desist letter] was sent in jest, and the world can certainly use more legal satire. Bravo, Mr. Trenk!"

There's a part of me that wants to believe Joey was funning with you guys. How in the hell he thought this letter could be enforced as a Private Message to an anonymous forum member is beyond my ability to comprehend.

 

Having read and replied to numerous posts by Joey, I can tell he didn't write this. It doesn't possess any of his normal grammar.

 

My remaining question is: Did he copy if off a webpage, or it is a copy of something he himself has received?

 

A cease and desist letter, whether written by an attorney or a not, isn't necessarily enforceable, right? I'd say the main issue is whether the PMs meet the definition of harassment. (That's a pretty clear no.) The "John Doe" issue is more of a practical one

Well, I'll say one thing: The cease and desist letter posted from the received PM is just as entertaining as his epic threads. Too funny, IMHO!!!
